Finding the Perfect Gifts with IWOOT

*AD – the items in this review were gifted to our household for this post. All opinions, as always, are our own.

When it comes to choosing the perfect gift, it can always be a challenge. There are so many different gifts out there and everyone seems to have different hobbies and things that they enjoy. We tasked ourselves with finding gifts for our entire family, using IWOOT – a gift shop that has lots and lots of different gifts for any occasion. We wanted to make sure that everyone in our household of five was able to have a gift that they enjoyed, with some bonuses thrown in. There was so much to choose from on the site, it did take a while for us to settle on the items we did!

Build Your Own Pinball Machine

Dann and his friends have actually been really into pinball lately, which is a pretty niche thing, but IWOOT has these cardboard, build your own pinball machine to play around with! We’ve actually shown this to a friend of ours and they purchased their own, which was pretty cool to see. This pinball machine starts off as a bunch of cardboard, which you can punch out and stick together using the provided double-sided sticky tape. Dann found some of the instructions to be hard to follow, but powered through it and did create a working pinball machine! There are two paddles on either side and a launcher as well, to launch the ball. The kids have also enjoyed playing it! What I really liked about this gift is that it is something that Dann could make himself, and then play with. It’s like a two part gift, and is great for someone who has everything.

NASA Lava Lamp

Kai is at a weird age where he is really hard to actually purchase for, if you’re not looking at games or new tech. But, often he has everything he wants, so it becomes more of a what would he like type deal. There are plenty of gaming-themed items and games for anyone who likes to play games to earn gift cards, especially Minecraft related items on IWOOT, but currently we are following the space / Among Us theme for his bedroom. That, paired with the fact that he has mentioned lava lamps before, meant that this space-ship-themed lava lamp would be perfect for him. The ship looks so cool, and it was very easy to assemble. He likes it, especially as it glows quite dimly – he has a neon Among Us sign which is just slightly too bright for him as a night light, so this lava lamp was a much better fit!

Catastrophe & What is your Cat Really Thinking? Book

Both Amelia and Robin really love cats, so we figured they’d quite enjoy the game Catastrophe, which essentially has you stacking up little plastic cats, hoping to balance them together. I found that this would be pretty cool for Robin, both as a board game that she could play around with, and also as a sort of doll-esque set of toys that she could play with. She has little dogs from Hatchimals that she really likes playing with, so these little cats are quite cute as an addition to them. They are a bit challenging to stack, but she has really enjoyed them so far and has taken them out for a few board game nights! Amelia on the other hand has a little book called “Cats Getting Stuck in Places” which she often reads and enjoys, so we figured another book, about what your cat is recalling thinking, might be fun for her! This book has a bunch of silly drawings and depictions of what cats might actually be thinking about things – and it’s quite easy for Amelia to read, so she has really enjoyed it.

Creative Cooking Challenge Cards

IWOOT

The Creative Cooking set of challenge cards is something I got as a sort of gift for the household! We often switch up our menu, trying not to default to any sort of cooking or food types, or even proteins, so when it comes to being creative, we are always looking for a bit of inspiration or help. These challenge cards give you a prompt, like make a pizza from scratch, create a picnic, or use no meat! It’s quite a fun way to figure out meals and can really help when it comes to getting suggestions! Though they are fairly simple, sometimes simple is really good!

Moon Terrarium

IWOOT

The one thing I got specifically for myself from IWOOT is the Moon Terrarium from IWOOT, which is made of a glass base and glass dome. This dome has a rainbow-tinge to it, and is quite waited. You can build your own terrarium in it – there is no plant that comes with it – and I am excited to get a little build your own kit to make inside of it. I do feel this terrarium would also make a really cool display piece and could even hold rings or other small trinkets, inside the safety of the dome.
