Halloween and Fall Lighting with 4Lite WiZ Lightbulbs

[Ad- gifted product] Quite some time ago, Dann purchased and set up some colored lightbulbs in our living room – the main space in our home that we use. We have primarily used these bulbs to create some color and to automatically turn off and on using an app on our phone instead of getting up. He really enjoys this mood lighting, and as he did all the set up, there wasn’t much for me to do at all, considering I am not tech savvy. So when 4Lite WiZ wanted to show off their smart lightbulb, I figured it would be similar, but I am here to say the 4Lite WiZ lightbulb actually comes with far more features than our previous smart lights.

I set up the 4Lite WiZ Lightbulbs myself, putting them into the individual lights and downloading the app. From there, you just need to sign into the app, connect your bulbs to WiFi using the app, and then follow the set-up process. I found this to be really easy, despite my hatred for reading instructions and my knowledge base for tech stuff. Turning on the lights and hitting start, everything was set up.

Unlike my previous lightbulbs, these had a bunch of customisation options; you can pick the exact amount of seconds you want your lights to take to come on and go off, giving a bit of a gradual turning off instead of instant, that just feels really fancy. The real star of the show, however, are all of the scenes within the app. There are tons of different scenes pre-selected for things like romance nights, parties, or just waking up in the morning. These scenes go through a bunch of different colors, fading between them, to create an atmosphere in the room you have set them up in.

The 4Lite WiZ Lightbulbs have three main fall vibes scenes; Fireplace, Fall and Halloween. Fireplace and Fall goes through the most colors, having five yellows, reds and oranges to cycle through, with different lengths per color. Both of these do feel different, with Fall being more yellow and Fireplace being more red. Halloween goes through three colors with yellow, orange, and a darker orange (no red), which feels like a light inside a Jack-O-Lantern. These focuses on orange for fall feel fun for your home, but you can also make your own scene if you’d like, picking the name, colors within the cycle and length of each one. With these options, you can make a spooky greenhouse or add some purples and dark blues to give a witchy feel. These scenes are also really fun for kids – Robin spent ages going through all the lighting and has expressed interest in the lights going into her room!

Te 4Lite WiZ Lightbulbs also have a lot of functional features; they can be scheduled to turn on and off, waking you up graduallyin the morning. They can also be connected to your Google Home or Alexa, so you can just talk and they will turn on or off, or change the lighting scene in a specific room. When you set up your lightbulbs, you can pick the room for each one along with the name, that makes voice commands much easier. The app itself also has an entire Energy Consumption breakdown, defining how much energy your lights are taking up, so if you are energy conscious, this is a great feature for you.

We really like the 4Lite WiZ Lightbulbs, and I honestly had no idea that lightbulbs could have scenes like this and have so many smart home options. It’s such a fun idea when it comes to creating a more atmospheric Halloween dinner!
