[Ad- gifted experience] Last year, we went to the Smoke and Fire Festival in Maldon, which was such a fun vibe! This year, they invited us to the Smoke and fire Festival Ascot, which has very similar vibes, but different showcases and focuses. Dann and I primarily go to food festivals to eat as much different food as we possibly can, which was our goal at the Smoke and Fire Festival Ascot as well.

We have gone to a number of time-limited events at Legoland Windsor; their Brick or Treat event, Firework Spectacular, Christmas event, and even their newly opened mini-golf. So, when Dann heard about the Lego Festival happening, as a sort of spring fest, he figured it would be a good time to visit! We have a bunch of favorite rides we enjoy going on, and found that having these new activities to sprinkle throughout the day rounded things out. Once we entered, we went up to the large main stage and grabbed our lanyards, which had a bunch of little pages on them, to tell you about various Lego-related experiences like Fortnight and even their golf course.
[Ad- gifted experience] After visiting Windsor Great Park Illuminated last year with our children, we were kindly invited to come up again for one of their press viewings! Dann and I went together as a sort of date night, to see how the light trail changed over the last year and have some time to ourselves. A few years back, we went to every single adventure golf within a reasonable distance of our house. It was a year of exploring them all, rating them, and deciding the best golf place. Since then, we often do at least one round of adventure golf per holiday that we are on, as they are such a classic way to spend time. When we were last at Legoland Windsor, we saw that they were building the Legoland Windsor Adventure Golf – an indoor, Lego-themed golf course, and we said we would go when they opened. Now, we took the chance!

On our adventures of going to more Light Trails, we wanted to visit one more to round out the Christmas season. So, we went to the Windsor Great Park Illuminated Light Trail, which was massive, but started at a classic Christmas food area, with a bunch of rides. This area, unlike Wimpole Estate’s light trail, isn’t ticketed, so it was very busy, full of people ordering from the massive amount of food stands and riding on different rides. It’s a good collection of food, actually, one of the best we have been to this year!
