Dinner at Singer Tavern

Singer Tavern

[Ad- gifted experience] Singer Tavern is a quant, well lit, airy bar that is located on Old Street. Dann and I went to have dinner at Singer Tavern as apart of a work event with Dann’s company. It was really lovely to be invited along. We selected all of our choices before attending, and then they brought out our food in courses. The staff themselves were very kind and accommodating – when one of the dishes came out quite overcooked, they quickly replaced it!

Starters at Singer Tavern

For our starters, Dann and I both picked one and then shared! We got a classic – Padron peppers. These are one of Dann’s all time favorite starters, and they were well cooked and salted perfectly. We also got a burrata salad. This had a massive, delicious piece of burrata on top of a crunchy bit of toast, with some sun dried tomatoes and cherry tomatoes, as well as rocket and olive oil. This was very creamy and delicious as well.

My Main and Side

For my mains, I got the lamb kebab, which came with a beetroot hummus, wrap, salad, tzatziki, and some charred vegetables. It was very delicious – I really enjoyed the char on the meat and the spices. The tzatziki was delicious as well. I had a side of broccolini, which had hot peppers on it. This was what you’d expect – some well cooked vegetables that came on the side.

Desserts

When we selected our desserts at Singer Tavern, we picked the shareable ice cream sundae, assuming Dann and I would be sharing. However, we each got our own massive ice cream that was larger than our head. Inside was loads of stuff; vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, berries, bits of meringue, etc. This was a little plan with the vanilla ice cream tasting a lot just like milk, but it is huge and fun!

We had a fantastic time at Singer Tavern and really enjoyed the food there! The atmosphere was very wonderful as well, and so were the drinks. I had a few Porn star martinis and some wine!

Ohh the kebab sounds really tasty, that’s the sort of thing I’d usually go for. A sharing dessert each, that sounds amazing, although a lot of sugar haha x
