Things to do in Liverpool with your kids

As we go towards the summer, it’s time to start thinking about fun staycations and activities to do with your children! It’s a good time to get out and explore more of the world as well, especially while your children are out of school. Liverpool is a city full of things to do, for all ages, and with so much to do, it might be hard to figure out how to spend your day out, especially with your children in tow.

Lunch on the Bustronome Voyage Gourmand in London

*AD – this experience was gifted to our family for this post. All opinions, as always, are our own.

I had no idea that you could eat food while traveling on a bus in London, until Robin and I attended the Grinchmas afternoon tea bus last year. A Day Out at Silence at the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch

*AD – this experience was gifted to our family for this post. All opinions, as always, are our own.

Dann and I went along to see Silence at the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch which is a powerful and emotional performance that features a collection of stories around the 1947 partition of India into West Pakistan and East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). These stories contain a lot of violence and trauma, which is why they often go untold, and these stories, coupled with not being taught in schools in Britain, have left a lot of this history to fade away. Silence has been adapted from Kavita Puri’s book Partition Voices: Untold British Stories.

A Day Out at London Zoo

One of the things our children have asked to do is see more animals this year, and as we live so close to London, Dann and I felt it was the perfect time to go to the London Zoo! The London Zoo had a giant Easter Egg trail on, spread around primarily the main area of the zoo (by the shops) but also had just so much to explore.
