Over the Easter Break, we wanted to go on as many adventures as possible! One of the things our children have asked to do is see more animals this year, and as we live so close to London, Dann and I felt it was the perfect time to go to the London Zoo! The London Zoo had a giant Easter Egg trail on, spread around primarily the main area of the zoo (by the shops) but also had just so much to explore.
We are a big outdoor family, who love adventure. So, when our local nature reserve announced their yearly Easter trail, we were excited to book up tickets and attend. Parndon Wood Nature Reserve doe shave a lot going on generally, from themed trails throughout the year, to crafting days, to night walks. We’ve previously been to their Christmas Trail last year, and often visit on the weekends, but hadn’t been to their Easter Trail.

Wimpole Estate is our absolute favorite National Trust place to visit, especially around the holidays as they are always putting on some sort of event. Easter at Wimpole Estate is a really affordable family day out, that you don’t even need to pre-book and can just drop by and attend if the weather is good! This Easter Trail does give you access to the whole estate, including the farm yard, walled garden, cafe and house!

When it comes to activities that Kai is particularly excited for, there is only really a few. Laser Tag is his current go-to, so when we learned about the Gelblaster option at Scorpion Airsoft, we were pretty excited to take Kai to a thing that is sorta like Laser Tag, but also sorta more hardcore in a way! Gelblaster is a way of playing Airsoft, however the “pellets” within the gun are actually soft, gel beads that don’t actually hurt.

Though I live in the United Kingdom now, I use to live in Upstate New York. Back in the time when I was less chronically online, I went down to New York City and spent about 24 hours there, taking a greyhound bus. At the time, I wasn’t aware of things like the New York City Tourist Pass, but can see how useful that would be if I went back now! If you are ever thinking about going to New York City, here are all of the things that I enjoyed doing when I was last there!
