For Christmas last year, one of the main gifts that Dann got me was an Always Pan. I had been previously looking at these pans, but could not justify the price and was not sure if the pan was all that it is set up to be. The Always Pan boosts being the only pan you need. Non-stick, easy to clean, useful for basically everything you want to cook. This pan is meant to replace your frying pan, saute pan, steamer, skillet, saucier, saucepan, non-stick pan, and comes with a spatula and spoon rest. Excited to try out this pan, I have been using it for months.
Starting off the bat with the Always Pan, the first thing I loved about it was the color options! Dann got me a lavender pan, which just looks lovely. It makes for a great center piece for your table, allowing people to serve themselves directly out of it. This pan has a lid that attaches, which is in the style of cast iron pans, without any of the weight. The pan itself is very weighty though, with a handle on one side to help you grip it (though in cooking, it is worth noting this smaller handle does get very hot, so you do need to avoid touching it without a wash cloth or oven mitt. There is a wooden spatula that came with the Always Pan, but after soaking it once in my sink, the spatula actually cracked open, and no longer felt good to cook with – which is a big shame as the pan is made for this spatula.
What I mean by the Always Pan is made for this spatula is that the spatula actually connects into the handle, fitting into the vent in the lid, placing the set together easily. This vent in the lid is on the side, and can be turned to close the pan, or opened if you want to let out the steam inside of it. This is a neat feature, especially when you add in the steamer basket that fits perfectly in the pan. Though we do not use this steamer basket often, it is great for steaming veggies and is very easy to use.
When it comes to the pan itself being non-stick – it is really hard for things to stick. Especially for the first few months of using my pan, nothing did stick at all. Later, though, we have found that the Always Pan does have some sticking, in the middle of the pan when cooking things for long amounts of time, however, these are very easy to clean off and seem to be more like stuck on food that wasn’t moved enough – so it might be user error. With that said, I did have a lot of issues flipping pancakes on this pan – as it doesn’t seem like a good pan to do that in as it does stick!
The Always Pan is a pan I really love. It’s my go to. I enjoy cooking in it and it is very versatile when it comes to what you can cook in it. For me, it is very much worth the price tag and I really enjoy having such a trusty, good, go-to pan that can be used for so many different things.
Finding good pans that are non-stick and good quality is so difficult to find these days. It’s also a plus that the pan is also very pretty.
I do really love the look of this pan!
I’ve seen these pans around a lot and I have to admit I have been intriuged. We bought a set of really good Pro Cook pans when we moved into our house in 2020 and they’re amazing x
It is so good to have great pans.
Looks durable and useful. I love your review. I’m getting one for myself and one for my sister.
Awesome, I hope you both enjoy them!
I need a pan like this. I have a pan right now I need to throw away because everything sticks to it.
It sucks when you have bad pans!
This looks like a great pan to own to make one pot dishes, will reminder to stir the food around the middle if I get the pan
Yeah! I guess I forget that often.
