2020 Goals

We are getting closer and closer to the end of 2019. It’s been a rough year, loads of changes, but I have survived and that’s all that matters. 2020 is, so far, matching up to be an equally challenging year starting off basically the same way, but I think it’s one we can all last through, even with everything going on. There is a lot more personal stuff to come that I know will knock the wind out of me, but focusing on the positive, I wanted to join in with these goal posts! Thinking about goals is a bit challenging, because I tend to just do the things I want to do, instead of making big goals for the entire year. I guess these goals would be more for the start of 2020 to mid 2020, because who knows what the end of the year will even look like.

Mini Christmas Trees | Craft

[Ad- gifted product] I really love the look of little Christmas trees, and making them out of twine makes a sort of rustic, lovely looking tree that looks great on a fireplace, on your TV stand or wherever else you want to add some festive cheer. These little trees were super easy to make and quite fun to work on. They don’t need a whole lot of materials so you can totally work on them last minute as a centre piece.

Butternut Squash Soup | Recipe

[Ad- gifted product] Butternut squash is a lovely, seasonal ingredient that can be made into hardy, warming soups. Butternut squash soup is pretty easy to make, though I have added a few of my own twists.

Snow Globe Ornaments | Craft

[Ad- gifted product] Snow Globe ornaments are one of the oldest ornaments in the book. I always enjoyed making little snow globes with my family, as there are so many different ways to make them. These globes require just a few basic crafting supplies and just serve as inspiration for making your own, as you can also bring your own twist to the craft.

Nanny’s Scottcheroos | Recipe

My Nanny will be mentioned often when it comes to cooking, as she was who got me into cooking. She use to make these Scottcheroos in the summer time, as a no-bake treat for us children to eat by the pool. We rarely had rice crispy treats, as instead these were served. I really loved her version of Scotteroos, but I would suggest being patient with it, as the recipe does take some time when it comes to spreading out the bars – this is something I found particularly challenging, but over time have gotten more and more okay at it.
