Dr. Martin Schwarz Teeth Whitening Kit | Review

[Ad- gifted product] During this lock down, we have been taking the time to do some self care. Taking care of our bodies and minds often gets put aside, but during lock downs, where there is more time stuck at home, it’s important to keep up with your hygiene even more then ever. Both Dann and I tired out the Dr. Martin Schwarz Teeth Whitening kits, which come across a few different products; a bioscaling kit, an expert 38% whitening kit and some mouth trays. Neither of us had ever done this process before, so it was an interesting ride if I am honest!

Pure Pet Food Surf and Turf Cat Food & Taste of the Ocean Pet Treats | Review

[Ad- gifted product] Pancake, our British short haired cat really loves to eat. He’s mostly soft fur, but a good size and does go through food quite fast, if I am honest. He’s not the biggest fan of wet food, but seems to enjoy it on occasion. He also loves his treats, of which we have a few types, waiting around to treat him when he’s being particularly cute or loving. When it comes to the foods we were giving Pancake, we weren’t very diligent and kind of just picked whatever was at the local supermarket. A lot of these foods have many, many different fillers and additives, which aren’t good for your pet or are just fillers like potatoes and wheat. Looking more closely to what we were feeding him, we decided to check out a brand that not only has only good ingredients within the food, but who were also doing something interesting. Pure Pet Food‘s line of dog and cat food come dried and are then re-hydrated in water.

The Rotten Fruit Box | Review

[Ad- gifted product] It’s not wide knowledge that I use to work at a little, local apple orchard. When I was a teenager, I got a job at an apple orchard, working with some of the activities that happened at the venue. Eventually, I ended up working within the grading part of the store. Grading fruit is an important part of selling fruit or vegetables. It’s basically when someone picks up each and every bit of fruit that is brought in and checks it over. They need to make sure the fruit have stems, is the right color, has no holes or bruises, looks perfect, etc. A lot of the grading process is literally just looks. Graded fruit also couldn’t be picked up from the ground. Once they are graded, grade A apples are bagged and sold, while apples that did not hit grade A, where used for other things. Wine, apple cider, apple pie, apple sauce – being a small and local farm, the owners needed to use these discarded apples to continue to help their profits. The Rotten Fruit Box actually takes fruit that has touched the ground and turns them into freeze dried fruit snacks!

Lazy Flora Plant Subscription | Review

Until recently, we only had a few plants on our window in the kitchen. An orchid Dann got me as a gift, a random plant we meant to gift to a friend but were a month early to their housewarming and small, stem-y plant that Dann picked up on a whim. We really enjoy these little plants, but have been looking for some more to fill other windows in our home. When it comes to plants for indoor gardening, we often don’t know, off the top of our head, what they are, how to look after them, or if they will get along with Pancake our cat.

Plants make Dann happy and I enjoy them too – bringing a little bit of freshness and outdoors indoors. When I saw Lazy Flora advertised on Instagram, I took a look at it. The company is new and focuses on sending a different plant, either indoor or outdoor, to your home each month. You can upgrade your plan to include a pot for the plant and you can also specify if you need pet friendly plants or if you don’t mind. We went for the pet friendly plants with the pots and subscribed for two months. We got a bonus Rubber Plant for signing up to their newsletter and also ordered a terrarium.

Working from Home Desk Makeover

[Ad- gifted product] Before the COVID-19 Virus struck the world, I was actually trying to get my desk setup upgraded. If you follow me on Twitter, you probably know that I work from home normally, so my desk set up is my work set up. With many of the UK’s population setting up to work from home for a while, I’m seeing lots of desk redecoration and lots of people picking places for their work space. I am about half way through my desk set up and will be posting again when I am finally finished. At the moment, I have purchased loads of items slowly since January and have set them up this week, however I still have quite a few items to pick out and to be delivered.

The Before
