Dann and I wanted to go out to lunch, so we decided to check out Belle Vie Cafe, which is right by the local train station! Belle Vie Cafe has a breakfast menu with tons of options, as well as sandwiches, burgers, a small kids menu and a handful of things under the ‘mains’ section as well. Dann and I were looking for a smaller lunch, so Dann went for a breakfast, I went for a mains, and we got some drinks and mozzarella sticks as well.
Mediterranean Marinated Chicken & Mediterranean Bruschetta
I am not a big breakfast or sandwich person, so I went for the Mediterranean Marinated Chicken, which was juicy and well cooked. The portion was large! There were mushrooms, salad, and chips. The salad was a little drowned in dressing, but otherwise the chips were well cooked and good. Dann went for the Mediterranean Bruschetta, which was more of a decorated avocado toast. It had avocado, onions, a Turkish sausage, poached eggs, balsamic, and came with a side of coleslaw. The eggs were perfectly poached and very rich in color, though for the amount of beauty in the dish, we did expect more flavor with it. The sausage was the real star and made it taste fantastic.
Some Mozzarella Sticks
Now, I have no idea why the mozzarella sticks came with ketchup. Maybe this is an item put on the menu for children – I honestly was just craving some breaded cheese – and it was exactly what I expected. Compared to everything else we had at Belle Vie Cafe, it wasn’t as fancy looking or well put together, but maybe it’s just not one of the things made in-house.
Drinks at Belle Vie Cafe
I got two drinks at Belle Vie Cafe as they had smoothies and Chai lattes. Dann got a mocha, which he said didn’t need any sort of sugar and was very lovely to look at. Seeing his drink is sort of why I wanted a chai! I got a smoothie that had a lot of tropical fruits in it, which was very delicious and refreshing. My chai was just as beautiful and also very well balanced. I did wish that I had gotten oat milk, which was my bad, I keep forgetting that cow milk is the default when out.
Belle Vie Cafe has a very lovely interior and it’s clear that the staff take a lot of pride in what they create. The presentation alone is very lovely and there were lots of young families inside, catching up over a cup of coffee and some nice food. I do like the interior decorations, which included inspiration murals. It’s just a lovely little cafe.

I love when you can choose both breakfast and main bits. Dan’s Mediterranean Bruschetta looks really tasty, and I’m on the same wave length as you and breaded cheese is always a win x
I have never heard of mozzerella sticks coming with ketchup! Everything else looks really good!
The burrata dish looks amazing! I keep hearing about burrata, but haven’t had a chance to try it. The mozz sticks are cute, but like you said, the ketchup is interesting.

Mozzarella sticks with ketchup is actually one of my favorite snacks. It seems like it’s for kids, but it’s a taste sensation.
This cafe looks perfect and that avocado toast featured at the top looks incredible! My husband and I would both dig into that!
Totally agree about craving breaded cheese sometimes, it just hits the spot! Even if it’s not fancy, it’s always satisfying.
