Whether it’s your mother, grandmother or auntie, or someone else. It’s always nice to celebrate the people who have made a difference in your life, especially on days like Mother’s Day. Ulster Weavers Tea Towel and Oven Gloves

Getting things like kitchenware can be a bit controversial, I know. But, as a mother who absolutely loves new things for her kitchen, I would be delighted to get Ulster Weaver’s tea towels or oven gloves. The designs at Ulster Weaver are very beautiful and can match a lot of different vibes and personalities.

Dinner at The Refinery CityPoint

[Ad- gifted experience] Dann and I have previously been to the Refinery CityPoint for drinks and had a pretty good time, so we were both excited to have dinner there! We went for a big meal out, with a bunch of our work team, after one of our main events. There were a lot of us, so we pre-ordered about a week before, giving us each little name tag reminders of what we actually picked out, which was very useful as I did not remember in the slightest.

Night Away at Luton Hoo Hotel

As a birthday gift, Dann booked a night at Luton Hoo Hotel, which is a large, historical manor, with a spa! Everything that I really want in a day of relaxation. We spent a night in the hotel, went to the spa for quite a large amount of time, roamed the grounds, and ate dinner at the manor. This was quite a relaxing experience and we very much enjoyed a night to ourselves, away from work.

Luton Hoo Hotel

When staying at the Luton Hoo Hotel, you can stay in the manor or you can stay in the nearby building which is basically touching the spa. Due to wanting to make the most of the spa, we very much wanted to be nearby instead of in the main building. We did spend some time roaming the manor, which had sitting rooms, lots of different historical items, and beautiful tapestries. There was a bar here and it’s where the meals are served. You can easily take a car (they drive you the 5 minute journey down the road) to the house we were staying at.

The Dog Ate My Homework – Scrambling Pictures

[Ad- gifted products] When it comes to the old excuse that your dog ate your homework, there is already a silly picture in your head. The toy – or rather board game? – The Dog Ate My Homework takes the general silly idea and makes it into a quick to learn, easy to play tabletop game where your child can feed a toy dog drawings and watch them get all scrambled up. The game comes with a bunch of papers with different drawings, a dog that you put together, treat tokens, and instructions. We played this game at our local Geek Retreat on one of our board game nights after school.
