This week, we had a bit of a rice theme going on, primarily because my father-in-law dropped off a huge bag of rice and it doesn’t fit in our kitchen, so it’s been on the side and I have been looking at it. We also focused a bit more on quick meals, as it’s the summer holiday and we have a lot of plans that take us out of the house and enjoying our time together. Exploring the Horrible Histories: Up in the Air Adventure event

There is a new Horrible Histories event, so naturally we had to ask Kai if he wanted to go! With him being a teenager now, I am always surprised when he is willing and even excited to go to an event, and Horrible Histories has always been one he really likes. The Horrible Histories: Up in the Air Adventure was very different from previous performances that they have put on, as this wasn’t a play and instead is an event around the Royal Airforce Museum with several sections of activities that children can take part in.

Glamping in Cocoons at Lee Valley Campsite, Sewardstone

[Ad- gifted experience] Lee Valley have a bunch of different campsites all around our area! These campsites offer a variety of different ways to camp from pitching tents, to bringing your own caravan, to staying in cabins, cocoons or mini-homes on the property. We got the opportunity to stay in a cocoon at Lee Valley Campsite, Sewardstone. This little overnight getaway was one Dann and I booth took together, as a cocoon is a perfect place for two people to spend the night.
