KiwiCo Tinker Crate – Walking Robot | Review

We received and completed our second KiwiCo Tinker Crate. This time it was a fun little walking robot. Much like previous boxes, it is designed to help kids think about building things, and science, differently. This specific project works towards making an electrical robot that was able to move on its own.

Knot: A Trilogy – An Audio Experience Played Alone

[Ad- gifted experience] Dann and I have participated in digital, immersive experiences before, primarily with our table top group, to help us come together during Lockdown or when we are apart from each other. Knot felt like it fit into this sort of category – some sort of digital, audio game that only needed one player. It’s an experience, that you can do on your own terms, really, and requires very little set up. Knot: A Trilogy is spread out into three different chapters, that each are best experienced in different locations, at a set time. To participate in these experiences, you need to download an app and activate your ticket, then wait for the time to come.

In the first chapter of Knot is titled you are meant to be on a park bench in public for this experience. Sadly, it was sprinkling the day that I went to experience Knot, so I opted to sit in my back yard, on a bench, in the rain, to compromise. They do advise that you could have created some sort of bench in your own home if it was raining, but I wanted to stay outside at the very least and didn’t think a bunch of rain would make too much of a difference. I laid out a towel, plugged in my earbuds, and waiting for the timer to tick on.

A Day Out at the Line Friends / BT21 x Artbox Cafe & Boutique

The Artbox Cafe & Boutique has changed their theme again, for the first time since lockdown, so we all really just had to go back! This cafe, if you don’t know, changes the theme of the characters, the menu, and all of the merch inside the boutique every few months, providing a new experience. These themes all based around Japanese characters and shows, showcasing cute and colorful creatures that bring a fantastic feeling to the place. Previously, we’ve seen the Pusheen theme, the Gudetama theme, and the spooky Gudetama theme, however, BT21 and Line Friends were new characters for me! Let’s get into what was on the menu. As always, we went with Claire who also write up the cafe on her blog, and this time she brought along her partner David!

Dinners made Easy with Supreme Sausages

[Ad- gifted product] Sausages are a British staple, something that you can find in every shop, but not all sausages are made equally. There are different grinds, seasonings and qualities to the sausages you can pick up. Supreme Sausages is a family run sausage business, who are striving for the very finest in Great British sausages, with award winning sausages under their belt.

Their family has been producing sausages for three generations – so they really know their stuff. They have 10 different varieties which all use quality, British farmed pork, spices, chillies, garlic, mushrooms, honey, tomatoes apples, wine and herbs all stiffed into hog casing in the same way they have been doing it for years. Supporting small, family ran businesses is something we always strive for, and with Supreme Sausages, it’s made pretty easy as you can get these sausages mailed right to your door. We ended up trying out two of their sausages, in two different dinners, which were both so tasty and delicious.

Maintaining a bathroom wooden floor

Wooden flooring has a pretty distinct look – a warm look that can make a home feel sleek or rustic, depending on the other features of the house. Often, people wonder if they can have wooden flooring in their bathroom and how to maintain the flooring once it is in. Wooden flooring isn’t a super common choice when it comes to rooms that are known to be steamy, wet and moist more often then others, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a wooden flooring.

If you are going to go with wooden flooring in your bathroom, you are going to want to go with an engineered wood flooring as this type of wooden flooring is more water resistant then normal wooden flooring, giving you more of a fighting chance to keep your flooring perfect. Unlike when you have wooden flooring in other spaces in your home, your bathroom floor will need a bit more upkeep an maintenance, but it is still do-able if you want this sort of look for your home.
