5 Ways to Improve Your Garden This Spring

Updated on April 11th, 2021.

Now that spring has begun, I bet you are missing your backyard and wondering how you can improve it for the new year! My grass is currently in need of a cut and my backyard could use some planning, so I have gathered a list of the best ways to bring your garden into the new year and get ready for the summer and spring that will be ahead of you. When it comes to planning, there is never a better time to start then right now, so it’s best to start thinking about how you are going to upgrade that space to better use it in the future and beyond.

Decking

When it comes to refreshing your garden, adding in some decking so that you can create an area for entertaining is always welcomed. It’s great to have a designated area for a BBQ and outdoor furniture. Black composite decking seems to be the most popular colour choice, as it’s dark enough to not show a lot of wear and tear while complementing all of the green outdoors. If you are putting in some new decking, don’t forget to purchase composite decking clips to fit in your new deck with!

A Day Out at Bourne Mill Easter Trail

There were so many lovely Easter Trails this year, and we tried to go to as many as we could! One of the shorter trails were at Bourne Mill – a small Elizabethan mill from the 19th century. This building is right near a beautiful pond, full of birds and wildlife. A Day Out at Audley End House Easter Trail

Audley End House and Garden is a huge manor, full of beautiful garden life, a large walk around, and a few historical sites. This trail is completely outdoors, and includes finding fact signs about the grounds itself, filling in a pamphlet that you can get on the grounds or print from home.

Easter Bunny Treasure Hunt at Home | Review

[Ad- gifted experience] After our Intergalactic Space Treasure Hunt, we were excited to check out the Easter Bunny Treasure Hunt, just in time for Easter. As Easter is a bit different this year, and nobody can really go out and host a giant Easter Egg Hunt, being able to do something a little different at home is very welcome. With appetences from the Easter Bunny themselves, it made for a really fun activity for younger children. Robin ended up inviting the neighbour, Sophie, over to enjoy the hunt together.
