Peach&Beet There are Two Sides to Every Story Print | Review

[Ad- gifted product] Peach&Beet have a variety of different prints, mostly based around phrases, words or numbers to decorate your house with. This simplistic designs offer a sleek look with a pop of colour or personality to any room in your house. From phrases about falling in love, having a good time or just designs of the all-seeing eye, if you are looking for some new art to hang in your house, they’ve got plenty of options.

I went for the There are Two Sides to Every Story print, which I feel is a really clever idea. Some of the words are backwards, showcasing the two sides visually before you read them. I feel this is so clever, having both the phrase and then a visual representation of exactly what it is saying. I’ve always been one to say there are two sides to every story – three if you consider each person’s point of view and then reality, so having a print that showcased this fit well for the aesthetic I am going for. After purchasing a gold frame, as most of the ones in the Peach&Beet shop seem to be featured in gold or simplistic, thin black frames, I figured it looked perfect. The print is of good quality, printed on card stock.

The Lost Hour – a Pub and Restaurant | Review

[Ad- gifted experience] We were invited to take on the new vegan options at The Lost Hour, a casual pub that has pool tables, a SNES, loads of TVs showcasing sports, and a friendly atmosphere. Offering a bunch of beers on tap and fruity ciders I hadn’t even heard of before, as well as a generously sized menu full of food, this pub is a step above your average Wetherspoons. They’ve added a few vegan specials to their menu and are encouraging those doing Veganuary by offering double points for vegan purchases made by people who sign up for their rewards card called ‘more’. They are also doing 25% off low-alcohol or non-alcoholic drinks if you are doing dry January and have a card! These reward points can add up to free food or drinks at The Lost Hour. The bar staff themselves were also really lovely, which is worth a mention. They spent time asking tables if everything was good, cleaned fast and efficiently, and had good conversations at the bar. It was just a really friendly bunch! Let’s get down to the food;

A Day Out at the Guggenheim Museum

[Ad- gifted experience] Recently, I went to Bilbao, Spain and got to check out the lovely Guggenheim Museum. This three floor museum has a bunch of different exhibitions, showcases, interactive areas and more for you to explore and enjoy. Though the cafe was completely booked, myself and my friend went in to take a look at all of the art this museum had to offer! Many of the areas were no photo zones, so the only images I have here are ones that were allowed to be taken within the museum – mainly on a few of the exhibitions on the bottom floor. I am only going to talk about some of the exhibitions, as there is really a lot to see – this museum is well worth a day trip!

Edible Pineapple and Kiwi Tea from Nim’s | Review

[Ad- gifted product] Previously, we took a look at Nim’s Vegetable Crisps, which is exactly that: just vegetables dried and packed so that you can enjoy a crispy, healthy and simple snack. Much like their crisps, Nim’s have a range of Edible Teas in both vegetable and fruit flavors. We got our hands on some of Nim’s Edible Pineapple and Kiwi Tea to try out in the new year. As January is known to be a month full of healthy eating and changes in diet as people attempt to have a healthier year, it felt like a perfect fit. We both drink tea from time to time, but neither of us were particularly cutting caffeine out of our diets, which is something this flavoured tea could really help with.

Nim’s Edible Pineapple and Kiwi Tea doesn’t actually contain tea leaves, instead, it is just dried pineapple, kiwi and apple slices. These dehydrated fruits are pre-packed in recyclable plastic, so you can put the tea itself directly in your mug of hot water and let it sit to become flavoured. Working much like a warm version of flavoured fruit water at first, over the course of about 5 minutes, the tea starts to really taste like fruit flavoured tea. The smell of Nim’s tea is also quite delicious, as you can almost instantly start to smell the fruit inside the cup.
