Kai is a big fan of science, so when he saw the Ultimate Gross Science Kit, he was both delighted at the gross-ness of it, and interested in the scientific aspect of the kit. This kit comes with 12 different, gross, scientific experiments. Many of them come with everything you need, however, some do need average household items like ketchup and water.

Learning about cultures with Jump Up! A Story of Carnival

[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to reading bedtime stories to the children each night, we love to pick up new books to keep things fresh. More and more, we have been focused on adding in books that depict other cultures and other people. Learning about various cultures and understanding that there are different people that all have different beliefs and upbringings is really important in our home. The George Padmore Institute is doing a wonderful job publishing children’s books and reading material that fill the void that the 2020 Black Lives Matter campaign highlighted was needed. Dream to Change the World was the first in this series of new publications, with Jump Up! A Story of Carnival being the second.

Easter Crafting with Plasticine

[Ad- gifted product] Easter is right around the corner, so obviously the girls are inspired to make all sorts of Easter crafts. Plasticine is the perfect way for Robin and Amelia to make some clay crafts time and time again, as none of the clay dries – so you can reuse it to your hearts content! As spring break is among us, we decided to bust out loads of the Plasticine kits and make some Easter crafts.

KiwiCo Tinker Crate – Color-Mixing LED Crystal | Review

[Ad- gifted product] It’s been more than a minute since we last wrote up one of the KiwiCo Tinker Crates, with the last one being the super-cool Glowing Pendulum from last September. However, we had a couple of the boxes around still, mixed in with other science boxes, and so Kai and I decided to open one up during a recent long weekend. This one, box five for us, was the no-nonsense named Color-Mixing LED Crystal kit.

KLIKBOT Zanimation Studio allows kids to make stop motion movies!

[Ad- gifted product] Stop motion animation is something that seems to get easier and easier as technology evolves. The KLIKBOT Zanimation Studio is a good example of this, providing a background box that you can build up, a few characters, a phone stand and an app to create your own smooth and wonderful animations. Kai is always interested in creating digital content, so he was very excited to try out this toy – starting with building the larger, car-like robot that he could play with in his scene.
