Lunch and Cocktails at The Fizzy Tarte

When it comes to eating lunch, Dann and I are not big sandwich fans generally, if I am honest. Though, we were wanting something light and not too hot when the weather was wonderful, so we took at chance at The Fizzy Tarte – a gastro-pub looking place, which serves sandwiches, charcuterie boards and craft cocktails! The Fizzy Tarte does more than just lunch and brunch. They have master classes in cocktail making and afternoon tea if that’s your thing too.

Trying Michelin Star Award Winning Pasta at Bancone

[Ad- gifted experience] Dann and I went with our friends Ryan and Tom to try some pasta dishes at Bancone! Bancone is a fancy feeling, yet quite affordable, award winning pasta restaurant that has a small menu of starters, mains and a few deserts to choose from, as well as a wine and cocktail menu. The place itself had a bit of a strange vibe. The outside, featuring a big white fabric awning didn’t seem to match the interior and felt a little dated. Inside, the place was very well decorated, but the music didn’t really match the feeling that you’d get when being at such a fancy place. This was something Dann commented on a lot since – that he’d change the music to match the venue instead of playing Smash Mouth and the like. But, let’s get onto the real star, the food.

Roll Your Own Dragon Roll and Bottomless Brunch at Inamo Soho

[Ad- gifted experience] Dann and I are both a big fan of both eating and making food. When we heard about Inamo doing classes in their Soho branch, we were very interested in the idea of learning how to make something new! The Roll Your Own Dragon Roll class can be booked as a one off class or can be paired with a Bottomless Brunch inside the venue, so that you can eat the roll you just made and then sample some of their unlimited menu.

Eating at the Rollercoaster Restaurant

While staying at Alton Towers, we wanted to check out the Rollercoaster Restaurant – a place where you can eat, but your food is delivered on a rollercoaster. This is a pretty unique gimmick, listing it as being the only place that does this, so we didn’t want to miss out on the chance to eat there. It is worth noting that you do need to book well in advance, and a lot of people are actually there celebrating their Birthday, which involves the entire restaurant having Happy Birthday play over the speakers during the meal. This happened like 7 times while we were there, which was wild.

Tasting the Summer Menu at the Giggling Squid

[Ad- gifted experience] When it comes to vibrant, well spiced Thai food, Giggling Squid is a perfect place to eat. We entered the Giggling Squid and were in love with the décor. The entire place is so beautiful, with bench seating that has flowers hanging from them, looking so adorable. Pictures on the walls of hand-drawn squids, everything is so beautifully themed. And the smell of food wafting through the restaurant is absolutely mouth watering. Dann and I were really excited to dig into some delicious food – and totally ordered way too much! Giggling Squid has a limited time, Summer Menu which you can enjoy until September 4th. We got some dishes from that menu and some dishes from their regular menu as well.
