[Ad- gifted product] We are fans of the Crystal Art kits, especially after doing a bunch of the D100 Crystal Art Sticker Album. This sort of mindfulness activity really encourages slowing down. It’s like paint by numbers, but instead of messy paint and trying to get it in exactly the right spot, you are putting down a bunch of fun looking gems. The new Crystal Art Buddies Festive Series 4 Decorations are both a decoration you can hang on your tree or a buddie that you can stand up, acting as a shelf decoration. Amelia took the time to do the Reindeer, which is new for 2024.
These gems come in different individual bags, so that you can take out the gem you want to do next. All of the bags are labeled with the letter that the gems will go on to when on the reindeer. The reindeer itself has a sticker layer that you pull off, so it’s slightly sticky allowing the gems to stick. Each set also comes with the try to pour the gems into, the pencil-like tool to grab the gems and put them on the reindeer and the wax that’s needed so that the gems stick to the pen.
The pen has two sides; one side grabs one gem at a time while the other can grab four, which is ideal for straight lines. The reindeer was one of the more bite-sized Crystal Art projects, only taking about an hour to complete. It’s wearing a cute hat and has some sparkly gems to it, which Amelia thought were really adorable. I also appreciate how there are plenty of extra gems in each pack, so if some get spilled your normally fine to keep placing them on! This means that younger children can also take on these buddies and you don’t need to worry about them losing the gems. We keep the extra gems for things like slime or other art projects in the future.
Her Reindeer Crystal Art Buddies Festive Series 4 Decoration came out beautifully, with the gems perfectly placed as she took the time to put them in. We both like that the reindeer can be added as a tree decoration, which is what we plan on doing with it once we have our Christmas tree out!
