[Ad- gifted product] At Robin’s age, we are always on the look out for new video games that she can play, that are appropriate and easy for her to understand on her own. As she has gotten older, she has been able to play more types of games, but often they don’t hold her attention for long, with her instead wanting to switch from game to game. Her current favorite is DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos, which was a surprise to us, as we are pretty sure she’s not got any background on any of these heroes!
When I told Robin about DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos, I explained it as an adventure game with super heroes that she likely didn’t know. Her instant response was “I am a super hero! I love super heroes!” so we dived right in. This game has three classic heroes; Batman, Wonder Woman, and Super Man. A TV-episode like intro explains all the different heroes, and you can customise their various costumes to make them look like regular people or heroes of your own, so no knowledge of DC’s Justice League is even needed to play.
Each of the heroes in this game have their own abilities, strengths, and items that can be used to customise and change your gameplay. You’ll often find yourself switching between the characters as you play. Other super heroes need saving, which feels exciting and fun, especially as the enemies are strange human-fish! There are a bunch of different objectives that you can take on, which unlock new items for you to play with. Various items are hidden around the map to discover.
The map itself is colourful, easy to explore and inviting. The controls in DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos were easy for Robin to understand and remember as she plays. There doesn’t seem to have real death in the game, as the heroes just swap between each other when they are feeling a bit rough at the bad guys who are attacking them. The game does have different difficulty settings, which can be selected at the start and changed anytime during the game – and this does effect how much story you get to experience while playing, which is a nice touch.
Overall, DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos is a polished, well made game for kids that feels full of adventure while also being family friendly! It’s one that I feel will be 100%’ed which is a great sign for any game in our household, especially ones for Robin’s age.
This sounds like a fun family game, I am having to re-learn about video games as my grandchildren are just starting to play them

It’s great that she’s been able to expand the types of games she can play as she’s gotten older. Also It’s interesting that her current favorite is DC’s Justice League: Cosmic Chaos, despite not having much background on the characters.
Sounds like a fun one. It must be tricky sometimes looking for games that are filled with action but appropriate for kids x
