When walking around the bay, we hadn’t really planned where we wanted to eat and instead just continued walking until something caught our eye. The restaurant we ended up at was La Norma, which has a small menu divided into fun categories called things like “I LOVE FISH” and “I LOVE MEAT”, to give an idea of what you are in the mood for. They have both upstairs outdoor seating, indoor seating, and seating by the sea! After being out in the wind, we opted for indoor seating, but do like the option to sit by the sea if the weather is fantastic.
Burrata Salad & Table Bread

Dann and I decided to split a burrata salad, which is a big ball of cheese! This salad was over some rocket and purple lettuce, which was really delicious. It felt refreshing and the dressing on the burrata wasn’t overwhelming, making for a good start to our meal. We also got some table bread, both brown and white, to dip in some oil and balsamic. The balsamic was in a spray-type bottle, which I honestly sprayed everywhere, but otherwise was very good.
Chicken Steak in Orange Sauce & Beef Steak in Red Wine Sauce

The menu itself wasn’t very big and did include a lot of fish options, but we both picked options from the meat side. I got the Chicken Steak in Orange Sauce at La Norma, as we had been walking around so many orange trees! The chicken was absolutely massive and well cooked. The orange sauce wasn’t overwhelmingly orange. It felt very balanced and not so sweet. The roast potatoes at the bottom of the dish were very well cooked and I absolutely loved them. Dann got the Beef Steak in Red Wine Sauce, which had a bit too much wine for my taste, but for his was perfect. The cook and seasoning on the outside was well done. He did find the little bit of vegetables to be on the salty side, but the potatoes were equally as good as mine.
Drinks!

For our drinks, I got a pina colada, which for some reason had some cinnamon on top? It was otherwise fairly standard and tasted fine. Dann got a margarita, which was refreshing and good. The wait staff was very professional and did a good job of moving our plates around so we could share or eat our meals properly. They brought Dann a steak knife without asking as well! It was everything you’d expect from this type of place.
Those dishes, especially the Chicken Steak in Orange Sauce, sound absolutely divine. Love how how you captured the relaxed yet attentive atmosphere; thanks for sharing such a tempting culinary adventure!
