[Ad- gifted product] I feel like Dole is a household name or at least one that I have grown up with and always had in my house! They were known as “the banana brand” but moved into lots of other fruit-related things, including jelly, as well as vegetable related things like salad bags. We often actually have Dole Fruit Jelly for breakfast, specifically the orange jelly with mandarin oranges in it, as it’s a big family favorite. Jelly is just a common snack in our household and as we often have jelly packed in our packed lunches, when Dole reached out asking if we wanted to review some more of their kids jellies, we were pretty excited! These three flavors of jelly included my absolute favorite fruit cup and two new ones for Kai, Amelia and Robin to try.
Dole Fruit Jelly Strawberry with Mixed Fruit
We started off with the Dole Fruit Jelly in Strawberry flavor, with mixed fruit inside, in the kids size. This jelly is very strawberry forward, which is quite delightful. The fruit inside is a mix of fruit cocktail; it tastes like pineapple, peaches, oranges etc. These bits of fruit are in bite-sized pieces and do add a lot of texture to the strawberry jelly. Strawberry is actually Robin’s favorite flavored jelly of the lot, which is predictable as she absolutely loves strawberries! I do think she would only love this more if it was strawberries in strawberry jelly, as sometimes she does get a bit funny about the random fruit, as she doesn’t know what they are.
Dole Fruit Jelly Orange with Mixed Fruit
The Dole Fruit Jelly Orange flavor with mixed fruit is obviously Kai’s favorite, as he loves oranges. He actually drinks orange juice almost all of the time and eats an orange in his packed lunch each day. This orange jelly is slightly less “jelly texture” then other brands of jelly, according to Kai, but he does enjoy it. Amelia also found the orange jelly to be her favorite of the two, liking the bits of fruit throughout. She normally goes with the orange jelly with orange bits in it!
The Dole Kids range has slightly smaller cups, which work perfectly for packed lunches. They also have some very cute covers, including super hero themed fruit and even Ninja Turtles.
Dole Peaches and Vegan Cream
The Dole Peaches and Vegan Cream is my absolute favorite fruit cup, though it’s not necessarily a jelly. Our kids aren’t really fans of peaches, but I am, and I absolutely adore the peaches and vegan cream pots. The cream is very creamy and quite like dairy, but you don’t need to store them in the fridge and they do keep for much longer than something with dairy. I tend to mix mine up, but you can see the layers between the peaches and the cream, which is just so much fun.
Dole is a household name for a reason; their products are always fantastic and they have a commitment to community, food, and sustainability. We are all excited to have tried more jelly for packed lunches this year.
Those look like the perfect snacks, no matter how old you are. I’d love to try them.
I could go for one or two of those right now. They look delicious! I’ve always loved any kind of fruit cup.
I have tried their jellies and they taste amazing and a great way to get kids to eat fruit. I now need to try their Peaches and Cream
These are perfect and we have them all the time. They’re delicious and healthy.
Great lunchbox snacks. I’ve been trying different things in my husbands lunchbox so I may need to try these out in there x
My kids love the Dole fruit jelly snacks, and they are perfect for the kid’s lunches. Shoot, I enjoy them as well.
We’ve just started to think about what the kids packed lunches will look like this school year, and these pots are great suggestions.
I am hearing about Dole Fruit Jelly for the first time but it sounds like a wonderful lunch item. Thanks for sharing it!
Not just kids, but I love fruit cups too. They are healthy and easy to carry. I, too, love Dole Peaches and Vegan Cream.
