Edgard & Cooper Cat Trial Box | Review

Edgard & Cooper

Pancake is always up for trying new food and as he was getting too use to his old dry food, we figured we’d pick up a trial box of Edgard & Cooper’s cat food, which is roughly a month’s worth of food for your cat to take a nibble at! This comes in the form of one large bag of dried food and a tin of wet food. After filling out a bit of information on Pancake, we ended up with their Chicken dried food and their game & poultry wet tinned food for him to try.

Edgard & Cooper started as a dog food company, created by two friends that met in collage, who loved their dogs but weren’t loving what was in the food. Their aim is to make sure the ingredients used it pet food are as good as they can possibly be, baked at low temperatures, and keeping in the flavor and nutrients that your pet will need. Their dry food bags are 100 percent biodegradable and they donate 1 percent of their sales to charity, which are good things to look for in a company! They are always looking for ways to give back to charities and keep helping the world around them.

When it came to the free-run, chicken dry food, Pancake seems to really enjoy this! It has sage, catmint, valerian watercress, cranberries and fennel while being grain free – the percentage of meat in the dried food is very high as well, which is great as your cat doesn’t really need that many fillers. Normally Pancake’s favorite is wet food, but he seemed to like this dry food best. The wet food we ended up with is also grain free game and poultry, with red bush and chamomile. The square, flat tin was packed with food, which Pancake did eat right up, licking the gravy from the outside quite quickly. Though, he did leave quite a bit of this wet food for the dry, he did come back to finish it up.

Edgard & Cooper have a loyalty program for those who like their food, allowing you to earn belly rubs for making purchases, reading blog posts, finding icons throughout their website and more. These belly rubs can then be used to unlock gifts in the form of choices – things like planting a tree, getting a percentage off your next purchase and sending a donation to charity. I quite like these perks and it’s fun to find belly rubs while exploring their site, to be honest!

Edgard & Cooper seem like a brand well aware of the impact they have on the world and interested in creating a well balanced meal for your furry friends that isn’t full of grains and is properly sourced.
