[Ad- gifted product] Around Christmastime, we do get a few gifts for our furry babies who live in our house. Pancake and Popcorn have been really enjoying cardboard scratchers, as we had grabbed one for Halloween, so I was excited to see how the Garfield Christmas House Scratcher would come together and fit in with our household. This little scratcher is an entire house, that cats can sit in or scratch in!
The Garfield Christmas House Scratcher comes flat, in a very small package and then needs to be assembled. Assembly doesn’t have any sort of instructions with it, but it’s pretty simple to understand. I recommend starting with the base and getting the walls stuck on (there are these tiny sticky pads) before moving to the roof, as there isn’t an angle point or anything like that to make sure that you are putting it in the right place. I did manage to unstick them after they were stuck a bit, so that the roof could be in a correct position.
The inside of this cat scratcher has a removable scratcher made of cardboard and it comes with some cat nip that you can pour over the whole thing to encourage the cats to go inside the house. The outside has decorations that match with Christmastime; snowflakes, Garfield dragging a Christmas tree, a bunch of little candy canes. It’s very cute and fits in with holiday decorations!
The inside of the Garfield Christmas House Scratcher is on the smaller side, so if you have a cat on the bigger side, they may not want to be in such a small space. However, Popcorn has really enjoyed going inside this scratcher and hanging out in his own little house, sticking his arm out and batting away any cat that comes near the door. It’s a cute little scratcher, perfect for the holiday season, and one that feels like a lot of fun to have in your own home. This scratcher is also extremely affordable, which is a big plus.
