Granny Franny's Big Zoo Rescue

[Ad- gifted product] After reading Granny Franny’s Big Red Bus, we were excited to hear that that wasn’t the end of Granny Franny’s adventures in the wider world! Instead of just touring around London, she actually spent a day at the zoo in Granny Franny’s Big Zoo Rescue. In this storybook, Granny Franny and the big red bus tries to take the twins, Ronni and Jax, to the zoo! She’s volunteered to take their entire school on a trip to the zoo, using the same bus from the previous book.

Granny Franny's Big Zoo Rescue

This isn’t an ordinary bus, you see, there is a special machine inside the bus called Thinkerbell. Thinkerbell is always there to provide information and help granny and the kids out! On their way to the zoo, they run into an emergency, as all of the animals seem to have escaped throughout the town! While spotting animals, Thinkerbell tells light facts about them, explaining where they should be living! The children are able to save all of the animals and bring them on the bus, so that they can have their zoo day. They do call for help, from a few different vehicles, and the kids play a big role in helping too.

Along the way, Granny Franny has some really funny lines about wanting tea, giving her quite a bit of personality. The drawings between this book and the previous book have improved immensely, with drawings that still look like they are hand drawn, but ones that are done to a higher standard or through more practice. In the last book, quite a few of the pages had text which was hard to read due to the color, but in this one the text was primarily black, meaning it worked well.

We enjoyed Granny Franny’s Big Zoo Adventure and look forward to wherever in the world Granny Franny will end up next – with her big red bus and her best helper Thinkerbell right by her side.

Auwwwwwww……..I like the illustrations in this book. Although I’m an adult I still enjoy reading children’s books because I want to get ideas to draw illustrations. Thank you for sharing your review with me.
