[Ad- gifted products] When it comes to teenagers and tweens, especially boys, there isn’t a lot out there to buy for them. I think it’s just the age group; they become extremely challenging to purchase gifts or to have interest in anything really. Kai is a big gamer and likes the gym, but one thing he quite enjoys with his friends, is horror. Greepz seems like the absolute perfect thing, as it is a spooky plush range, aimed at teens and adults, who like something a little more creepy and out there.
Greepz come in a unique box, that only lets you see a bit of the back and bit of the front of each plush, giving you a sort of blind bag opening. The various characters are rooted in Creepy Pasta and make believe lore, which is something that Kai and his friends are often talking about, as it trends so well on social media. I remember being interested in Creepy Pasta and lore as a teen as well, and am honestly surprised that there weren’t similar toys like this! Each of the plushies have a lenticular face, with some of them changing when you look at them to be even more scary.
Along with the plush toy, there are also cards that come with each Greepz, that have a bit of their back story and where they were inspired from. These cards add a second collectable element to them, and feels right in line with their target audience as so many people do enjoy collecting cards like this too. The plush toy itself isn’t too large, and sits in an oddly strange way, increasing their strange factor.
Kai though that the Greepz plush was quite cool, noting that he’s never been into plush toys, but wanted to show these to his friend who always “flexes his horror collection”. Luckily for us, he came over a few days later, and wanted to know exactly where Kai got Skinny, which is the creepier of the two. It’s very clear that Greepz is a good collection toy for those interested in things that are a bit more twisted and adult – it’s great to see this category of toys being filled!
