Himawari Bag is full of style and versatility

Himawari Bag

[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to going on as many adventures as we do, I often always have a go-to backpack to stash everything we need. Robin is at the age where she wants to take a ton of things on all of our adventures, and then doesn’t want to carry any of them, so extra storage space is always a must. Plus, the amount of water and snacks we bring is always quite a bunch too! Himawari, which means Sunflower in Japanese, has a bunch of different, stylish bags that have different uses as well.

I went with the Dianella 14″ Laptop backpack, which has some very adorable pastel colors! There is a lovely lavender version which has been more recently released that I am so in love with. The bag itself has a large, outer pocket with a magnetic button to hold it shut. We find that quick-to-grab snacks are perfect here, so that our children can grab them out easily. This pocket is a great size and actually can hold a lot – our battery pack, which is quite large, has found it’s way into this area often.

The inside is very square in nature, which is such an ideal way to have a backpack. Having a sort of flat bottom allows us to put way more into the bag, and they tend to look less bulky. Himawari does a good job of ensuring all of the hardware and fabric to the bag are of very high quality. The hardware is all metal, even the clasps that hold the strap in to make the bag bigger or smaller for your shoulders. There are two very high water bottle holders on the sides, which can also fit umbrellas. The fabric is water resistant, and didn’t feel wet even when we took ours out in the rain! They state that their bags are cruelty free, which is always good to support.

Let’s talk about the inside of the bag, which is ideal for organization. There is an entire panel of pockets and areas for organization. Some have netting so that you can see what is within in, while other, larger ones are just zipped up to hold smaller objects in. I feel this would make the Himawari bag a very good bag for airport travel as well. I always need more pockets to hold stuff at airports! As this is the laptop bag, the back panel, which would be against your back, has a pocket for a laptop, keeping it nice and secure. On the sides of the inside of the bag, there are further water bottle pouches, that allow you to carry your umbrella, water bottle, etc on the inside if you’d like.

I really cannot knock the Himawari bag! I’ve been stuck with pretty ugly, black bags that have had a lot of space for quite some time, and I am so happy to have a stylish backpack that isn’t super tiny. The attention to details, especially in the quality of the hardware, is fantastic and I can see this bag lasting quite some time in our household!
