[Ad- gifted product] Amelia has extremely long hair that she is very proud of. She’s been growing out her hair for years and years, only getting trims and creating some framing in her bangs. As she is a teenager now, it’s important to take care of her hair, as she is spending more time taking care of the way she looks and herself generally. When we were offered the Vegamour HYDR-8 Full Routine Kit to review, I knew she’d be super excited to start up a new hair care routine, especially in time for back to school.
Vegamour is dedicated to using natural ingredients and ensuring that their products are hand-curated. This comes from the founder’s relationship with farms and nature, where he realized that everything needs proper balance in order to thrive. Everything is plant-based and cruelty free as well, with no short-term fixes and instead a long term, science backed program that can leave your hair stronger. After taking the quiz, Amelia decided she wanted to focus on strengthening her long hair, which makes sense as it’s really very long. This is what suggested the HYDR-8 Full Routine Kit.
What’s in the HYDR-8 Full Routine Kit?
The kit itself has everything you’ll need to start your own haircare routine. The first thing Amelia started using was the HYDR-8 Shampoo and Conditioner of course. The texture of these were as expected, but they are meant to leave hair strands 5x stronger after one use and keep them hydrated. Amelia’s hair is a bit frizzy this time of year, and we really saw that change with these products. Her hair was much more shiny! This kit also contains their Deep Moisture Repair Mask, which can be used once or twice a week in place of the conditioner. We’d not used a hair mask before, but found it to really make a difference!
The leave-in conditioner in this set is fantastic. We both absolutely love the smell of it, and often use leave-in conditioners when brushing hair, to help with detangling and protect against heat. We found this leave-in conditioner to be top of the line and left a good amount of shine in Amelia’s hair, which she really loved. She has a very thick hair type, but doesn’t need tons of this conditioner to really get through her locks!
The last item in the kit is a weightless repair oil, which we are using after she has taken a shower and her hair is mostly dry, to add back in a bunch of natural oils. This is really easy for her to apply on her own, especially as it’s not to go into her scalp, and it feels quite fun for her to be taking care of her hair and using it.
Overall, we have seen a lot of change in the shine of Amelia’s hair as well as much of her frizz reducing, which are both fantastic for this time of year. Her hair is so long and such an important part of her self esteem, especially as a teenager, so it’s great to introduce her to products based around a routine, that she can then follow to start the process of ensuring her hair is strong.
I would love to try this line! My hair has been looking so dull lately, and I know I need to do something to help make it healthy again.
It is great that Vegamour HYDR-8 Full Routine Kit is a natural one. Thanks for introducing this awesome product!
I love that Amelia is taking her hair care seriously, especially as a teen. The results sound amazing, especially with the shine and reduced frizz—just what we all need during this time of year!
I don’t know the brand but it seems amazing. I would love to test the product for sure, I need to take a better care of my hair.
I am actually looking for a leave-in conditioner and would love to try this. I also have thick hair so, I am happy to know that this is effective without putting tons of the condition to get through my locks.
