Keeping dry with a Towel Robe from Halocline

[Ad- gifted product] Towel Robes might seem like a pretty silly thing to have – to be honest. When I had first heard of them, I thought they were a bit strange – a whole towel poncho that you can wear over your swimsuit or wet body to keep dry. That was until Robin asked for a ladybug themed towel robe from our local pool, and we said yes. It turns out, towel robes are really convenient, easy and are always a great size! Our local swimming pool does not have adult sized towel robes, but Halocline does.

Towel Robes are exactly what you’d think – it’s a poncho or robe that you pull over your head, enveloping you into a towel. The Halocline towel robe comes in two colors – pink and blue – with their logo across the chest. It’s a long towel, that is more on the robe side then poncho, as there isn’t slits on the side. This robe also has a hood, if you want to tuck away your hair. The fabric is like a towel – hence it being a towel robe. It’s not the softest towel I have ever had but it is far from the roughest as well. It’s easy to wash, dries in the same amount of time as a towel would.

Now, when it comes to wearing our towel robes, I have found that the best time for me is to and from the swimming pool. Our new house is about a 5 minute drive from the swimming pool – which means that we are going at least twice a week. Often when going to the swimming pool with kids, you find yourself going in and out of the pool to bring them to the bathroom or get items that were left in the lockers – and throwing on a towel robe so you don’t drip everywhere is really convenient. When our local pool gets busy – or if I just am not feeling getting changed in a public place, I’ve also been known to wear the robe itself out of the building instead of getting changed, and waiting until I am back at my own home to change. There is a lot of convenience in having something that will not get soaked (as it’s a towel) and is so easy to pull on and wear.

Another huge benefit to towel robes are the fact that the towel fits, if that makes sense! Often, wrapping a towel around you and tucking it in will result in having to adjust this towel or the towel falling. A towel robe on the other hand doesn’t have to be adjusted or fixed back in place, and the ones from Halocline can easily cover your entire body, from head to toe, to ensure you get dry faster. I do wish there were robes available that had more of the slits up the sides like Robins, but found this robe to be comfortable without it. I also do wish there was more variety in the designs, but maybe that will come with time!

We have also taken our towel robes to the beach, where you can quickly cover up from the sun, get dry from the ocean, and otherwise walk around with some major vacation vibes around you. A towel robe isn’t something everyone has, but it does feel convenient and luxurious when you do!
