How to Wear Minimalist Jewelry and Update your Looks

[Ad- gifted product] Jewelry is a great way to change up some of your basic outfits, giving your look a bit more character and adding details that can help you stand out. When it comes to every day jewelry, often finding minimalist pieces to add to your collection, that can go with a bunch of different outfits, can be super beatifically. Minimalist jewelry can add touches of glamorous and sophistication to even basic looks, great for going out but not wanting to overdress. If you are looking to up your outfits and get more out of your current looks, we are going to talk about minimalist jewelry and how to best to wear them!

Picking out Minimalist Jewelry

Minimalist Jewelry

When it comes to minimalist jewelry, you can go with bracelets, earrings or necklaces. You’ll want to look for simple, clean, sleek pieces that can stand out, but not too much. My favorite current piece is this Rose Gold Hexagonal Necklace – it’s a simple line design, geometric and the color looks very sophisticated. You don’t want to pick something that is too simple, as it can be boring, so you’ll want to think about what makes a statement while also being quite sleek. A single stone in a clean setting like a necklace or in a ring can be a good pick as well, but I often find more sleek jewelry to be more interesting! If you are going with a more beaded look, you should focus on smaller beaded pieces where the beads are separated by chains or other material and not all clumped together and busy looking.

When it comes to bracelets, you’ll want simple bracelets like small chains or bars that can add a bit of shine and glamour without adding a chunky look to your wrist. You can find a few staple pieces that are worth wearing often. Geometric bracelets, like triangle bracelets, are also very interesting and can be a good talking point! If you are looking for minimalist earrings, a simple stud instead of something large and dangling is what works better for this look.

Number of Pieces per Look

If you have quite a few pieces of jewelry, you might be tempted to over-accessories. Consider sticking to one or two pieces of jewelry as your statement pieces in your outfit. You will want to consider which piece, if wearing multiple, is the stand out. If you have a lovely necklace that can draw the eye, but also want to add a little bit more, some more simple earrings can compliment without taking away from the necklace itself, for example. If you are wearing earrings, make sure that people can see them! Longer haired people like me would need to put our hair up, so that these small details can be noticed as well.

Tips for Necklaces

When it comes to necklaces, you’ll want to keep your lines separate. When it comes to minimalist looks, clean lines are key. Lines that you should make shouldn’t overlap and your skin should work as negative space or a background. At the same time, you can consider stacking your statement pieces – if you have a few different minimalist pieces but want to go for a more bold look, you can wear them together, like pairing a choker with a lower-hanging chain, however, you do want to make sure that your necklaces don’t overlap your shirt whether you are going for a sophisticated or minimalist look. Through the use of items like chokers, you can also mix materials, which can really enhance a look.

Do have fun with it though! Jewelry is a way of expressing yourself, a way of adding more character to your outfit. If you have a piece you love and think looks good on you, find ways to continue to highlight that piece and wear it. Express yourself and go with items that you find to be beautiful and you think would be lovely yourself.
