All You Can Eat Sushi at MOJO Japanese Kitchen

When looking for a place to eat in another country, we often go towards Asian food. This is because we both really love this type of food! While on a canal tour, the tour guide recommended two Japanese places, one of which being MOJO Japanese Kitchen, so we had to go. This sushi place was right along the canal, which had beautiful views especially as the sun set. There were outer tables, which had robot waiters coming to deliver food, but we were sat in the very centre by a beautiful blossom tree.

MOJO Japanese Kitchen does have the option for you to order dishes and pay individually, but they also have an all you can eat option under one price. We went for this option as we felt we can eat enough dishes between us two to make up the price. The all you can eat option includes the majority of dishes, apart from a few specialties, which have additional fees listed. We weren’t interested in the three dishes that had this, but the fee itself also wasn’t much! This option doesn’t include drinks and only includes one dessert each (though you can order unlimited items from the Sweet Treats area of the menu).

With all of the explaining out of the way, we sat down to eat and enjoy. The ordering is done through an app, where you can order up to ten dishes between two people and two people can “join” the table through their own phones on the website. This feels really futuristic and we had no problem loading up our orders! Dann is a huge sushi fan and ordered a bunch of sushi and hand rolls, where as I prefer not fish, so I had a bunch of different foods. Now, I do not remember everything we ate, but most of it was very, very good.

I quite liked the sticky chicken, which was very crispy! I got the beef rolled around a bunch of spring onions in a sauce that was good. The peppered beef was so yummy as well. I didn’t quite enjoy the fried noodles, which had no real flavor, and I ordered some sort of parcel that ended up having shell fish in it, which I thought was crab, but it had a real fishy taste. I also ordered the basil steak, which was good, but could have had a better cook on the outside – it had no color. The vegetables – like the fried mushrooms and courgettes were absolutely fantastic and full of flavor. Some of Dann’s highlight’s included a beef sushi with horseradish sauce, which was really tasty (I had one of these too and it was so good!). Their miso soup was good, as was the “fish and chips” bites. We tried some shishito peppers on a stick, which were very well cooked and seasoned.

Overall, there was a great mix of food and most of it was spot on. You also get the chance to try a lot of different food at MOJO Japanese Kitchen – and I like how they bring the little plates out to you, filling up your table. If you are looking to get your fill, it’s a great option. We ended the night splitting a strawberry jam topped pana cotta, which was a perfect end, before having a lovely romantic walk along the canal.
