My Top Wintertime Netflix Series & Movies

When it comes to Christmastime, there are so many different Christmas movies and TV series. A lot of them are too cheesy and too terrible for me to enjoy, if I am honest! I have spent some time over the last month watching nearly everything on Netflix that I can get my hands on, and I have put together a list of my favorite series, that do have a wintertime twist, that you can currently watch on Netflix right now!

Sugar Rush Christmas

If you are unfamiliar with Sugar Rush, it’s a competition based TV series where bakers are challenged to do three different baking challenges, ending with a giant cake! These challenges are all around a theme – and the Christmas time ones are all themed around different aspects of Christmas. There are Christmas treats, gingerbread cookies, classic Christmas movie references, and so many fun bakes in this show – it’s well worth watching if you love baking!

The Holiday Movies That Made Us

With only two episodes, this series has just started! From the Toys That Made Us series, The Holiday Movies That Made Us take on a different Christmas classic each episode! At the moment, there are two movies featured: ELF and The Nightmare Before Christmas. These shows deep-dive into how the teams behind these movies were able to create classics that are still watched to this day.

Holiday Home Makeover With Mr. Christmas

If home improvement is more your thing, Holiday Home Makeover With Mr. Christmas is a lovely, feel good renovation show where Mr. Christmas and his team of elves help regular people re-decorate their houses (or fire stations!) in time for Christmas, providing a magical experience, as well as tips that you can actually do to help up your holiday decorating game. This is another show that makes you feel warm inside, while also seeing some festive decorations.

Christmas with a View

When it comes to Christmas movies, Christmas with a View has been my favorite so far! This movie showcases someone who is working over the holidays, in a restaurant chain that she has helped create, when the restaurant hires a TV star chef, she finds herself falling in love, doing a bit of light crime, and figuring out why he is in such a small town anyway. It’s a warm and fun movie with some great food in it too!

Night at the Mongolia

An more up to date Christmas Movie, Midnight at the Magnolia showcases two childhood friends, who run a fun radio show together, and need to survive Christmas as their jobs start to skyrocket. It’s a bit predictable, but I really enjoyed the strong fathers in this show (as fathers are quite overlooked in Christmas movies) and the amount of comedy moments this movie has!

Christmas Made to Order

All about a women trying to follow her dreams – and do it her own way – Christmas Made to Order shows how someone can make a big impact to your family and how following your dreams is worth doing, even if the word doesn’t believe in you. This movie was very fun to watch, though quite a bit more cheesy then the others in this list!

There you have it, those are my favorite movies and series currently on Netflix! Have fun watching.

This post is a part of our Blogmas series, with each and every post being about Christmas or Winter.

Unfortunately we don’t have Sky or Netflix so I can’t watch any of these recommendations. Hopefully I can persuade my husband to relent in 2021!
