Levelling-up Easy Cheesecake with Opies Black Cherries

[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to the holiday season, often baking and cooking go hand in hand. Whether you have a holiday party coming up or just want to have a no-fuss dessert to bring to a friends house, we’ve found a way to make a no-bake cheese cake something more impressive. Using easy ingredients and minimal effort, we’ve created a no bake cheesecake Opies Black Cherries in Kirsch. The recipe is even easier if you can get your hands on a pre-made biscuit base, like graham cracker crusts, to go along with your cheesecake.

No Bake Cheesecake

Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 300 ml Double Cream
  • 280 gram Philadelphia Original Soft Cream Cheese
  • 60 gram Sour Cream
  • 100 gram Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 Graham Cracker Pie Shell
  • 1 Jar Opies Black Cherries in Kirsch

Instructions

  • Take your double cream and put it into a mixer with a whip attachment. Whip into stiff peeks and set aside.
  • In a clean bowl, add in your cream cheese and powdered sugar. Whip until combined.
  • Add in sour cream and vanilla, whip to combine.
  • Add back in your stiff peeked double cream, and either hand fold or mix in using your mixer.
  • You can now taste the filling to see if it is as sweet as you'd like. If you want, you can add more vanilla, powdered sugar, or even some lemon for some tartness.
  • Scoup the filling into a graham cracker pie shell and let sit in the fridge for at least an hour to set up.
  • When serving, spoon over Opies Black Cherries in Kirsch and some of the syrup, to have the best experience.

Once I had the cheesecake filling made, I then put it into the graham cracker that my dad has sent me. These are really easy to find in America, but I have never found one in England. You could easily use one of the pre-made tart crusts, that they have at supermarkets here, but it won’t have the same texture as a biscuit base. I then put everything into the fridge to set before our dinner party! We have a tabletop group that meets every single week, rotating who cooks dinner, dessert, and who brings soft drinks for everyone; and this time it was my turn for desserts!

When serving the cheesecake, I cut out individual pieces and topped them with Opies Black Cherries in Kirsch. This jar is full of both liquid and cherries, so spooning over the desired amount of the sweet kirsch is the way to go. I wouldn’t recommend allowing this to sit on top of the cheesecake, as I do feel it would really make the whole thing too messy. However, adding in a spoonful or two on each slice makes them look so fancy and taste so delicious. It’s a great way to elevate a simple no bake cheesecake, perfect for a dinner party or the holidays! Everyone who attended very much enjoyed the Opies Black Cherries in Kirsch, stating it did make the cheesecake feel like something more traditional for the holiday season, but they couldn’t put their finger on it. The sharp mix of cherries and kirsch went well with the creamy cheesecake filling, which was perfectly sweet, as well.
