Pet Head Cat Dry Clean Shampoo

Some pets are a bit smellier then others. I’ve not had a cat before, but Pancake, our lovely Pancake, is sometimes a stinky cat. I don’t know what makes him stinky – it seems to be his natural scent, that he carries around. He doesn’t really get this scent on other things, it can just be smelled on him, but often it’s a bit much for a cat that always wants to cuddle. As an effort to cure our noses, and because this is pretty silly, I picked up a bottle of Pet Head Cat Dry Clean Shampoo.

Pet Head has tons and tons of products for doggos but is pretty limited in it’s cat range. Despite that, I wanted to try it out anyway. This shampoo had the scent of blueberry muffins, which was even more silly, as now Pancake would be a Blueberry Pancake, so I was totally on board. Pancake really doesn’t enjoy being wet, so we figured this would be a strange adventure for everyone.

While Pancake was being cuddled, we got his brush and the spray bottle and started brushing his un-wet fur. He loves to be brushed and instantly was having fun, so we started slowly spraying him! At first, he seemed a bit confused, but he didn’t react like he was being sprayed by water! He started really enjoying it, being brushed and sprayed and brushed some more. He seemed interested in the bottle and liked the smell itself.

The smell itself was lovely, like a blueberry pastry. We figured this might wear off fast, but indeed lasted for a week so far, and still is there. Pancake isn’t an outside cat, so that might be one of the reasons why this beautiful smell is there, but either way, we are very happy with the results of this! Next, we are going to try and get our hand on the Pet Head litter box spray to see if that helps keep the stink away.

Arh that’s so cute. I have three cats and could always use pamper things for them. I’m glad Pancake enjoyed it. I hope my three are the same πŸ’•

I love that it lasts so long, that seems to be the downfall of many products like this (for our pups anyway). I mean, I get if they are out rolling in the dirt… but we would spray them and it would be gone before we even had a chance to take them outside for some play time lol! I’ve never tried a dry shampoo with our cats. We’re lucky, neither of them seems to be overly smelly. Pip gets shaved every spring, so she’s pretty comfortable with the grooming process. I’m not sure how Jinx would react lol
