[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to sweets, everyone always loves to have a bit of a treat here and there! Often, there are hundreds of options when it comes to pick and mix. I remember the first time I went to a pick and mix place, in Sweden, a few years back. Dann and I wandered around the big room full of sweets and there was something truly magical about being able to try so many different things! When it comes to getting these sweet treats to your door, however, the experience is more like a super fun mystery box, as you can get a bag of sweets to your door, with Sweet Time.
Sweet Time has pre-defined boxes, bags and jars, along with a bag of assorted candy that you can have delivered right to your door. I am a huge fan of gummies, however, I am actually intolerant to gelatin, so I tend to stay away from most of the gummies that you find in shops. This means, I am left with primarily just Giant Strawbs to enjoy. It’s sometimes a lot of effort to seek out new treats – and that’s where Sweet Time’s various pick and mix bags have really made my week. I was able to get my hands on a vegan bag – containing no gelatin, and it was full of treats I have not had before! The bag itself has a great variety, with some sour candies, sweet candies, chalky candies – a great mix of everything. There were even some retro finds like candy necklaces and vampire teeth.
Kai, who spent some time being vegetarian, has really dived into the vegetarian sweets and treats – and was delighted with his own bag of Sweet Time pick and mix, from the vegetarian category. Surprisingly, there wasn’t a whole lot of cross over between our two bags – he had more chocolates of course, which is fine as I am not a chocolate fan in the slightest. Along with that, he had gums, gummies, and some chalky sweets, that he has been slowly clearing through. He really enjoyed trying new candies from his bag – discovering the flavors of them and finding the occasional sour candy that made his face pucker!
I really love the concept behind these specialty bags – they make for a great gift if you have a loved one who has dietary needs, but also work as a great little exploring gift for yourself, if you want to try out some new sweets but don’t want to be overwhelmed with picking or go out to a shared pick and mix place right now. There are a few other options, including gluten free and dairy free, for those that would prefer those!
