Pretty Suds has arrived this month, with a change of packaging and a pretty fun theme. We are looking at our Circus themed box for July of 2021. These bath bombs, as always, are a really big size, made in Yorkshire, and now are more sustainable – but we will talk about my feelings on the new packaging at the end of this. I was really excited for the Circus themed box, as I really love the circus and have been quite recently. There are also so many different ideas as to what circus bath bombs could look like. Let’s get into the box.
The Greatest Show & Your Once in a Lifetime Ticket
The Greatest Show is a big top, tent bath bomb which is white and red in color. It’s a chunky bomb – very big! There isn’t much added detail to this bomb, but you can clearly tell what it is. This bomb, going from scent alone, is quite sweet smelling, and slightly floral, but not too overwhelming. Your Once in a Lifetime Ticket is a blue, red and yellow bomb that looks like a Pretty Suds ticket – which is really cute. This bomb smells like candy and citrus.
Ziggy the Bunny and Ellie the Elephant
Our two animals at this circus are Ziggy and Ellie. Ziggy the Bunny is a bunny peaking out of a purple hat. Ziggy the Bunny smells more musky then the other bombs – less sweet notes and more notes of wood. Ellie the Elephant is a very blue elephant on a colorful ball of purple, pink and yellow. Her scents can be found on their website, so it’s not down to just my nose – with scents of coconut, vanilla and white rum – sort of like a nice drink.
Super Cannon
Lastly, we have the Super Cannon, which is a pink and yellow cannon with loads of details on the wheel and on the stars along the cannon. This bomb has citrus scents – specifically of grapefruit orange and blood orange. The scent also has notes of pink rose, jasmine, patchouli, vanilla flower and white musk. It’s an interesting scent that I really quite like, and it feels like the scent matches the colors well too!
When it comes to packaging, Pretty Suds has always tried very hard to be eco conscious. Their packing peanuts are the kind that can dissolve in water – made of starch – instead of plastic. the change from plastic coverings on the bombs, something I didn’t like due to how hard they were to open, how much they did affect the corners of the bomb, and how badly they looked, is something I really, really like. Each bomb is in a little bag, complete with a Lush-styled sticker of the person that made the bomb. It’s so cute! This month’s box did come with a Circus card which told us the name of each of the bombs, but they were missing the scents, which I wish we still had listed on the card. They also included information about updates on their website backend, which has changed and become much sleeker. The next theme for Pretty Suds is New Moon, which looks great for Halloween!
I finally have a useable bath so once I’ve used up some of the bits I have I really want to get a bath box like this x
Oh wow! It’s so great to have the option.

This is such a cute premise for a subscription box. I love it! And I’m all for a bit of relaxing in the tub.
Self care time is the best time.
