When it comes to bath bombs, I always am excited to get my Pretty Suds box! They have gone through quite a few changes over the year and a bit that I have been subscribed, so I am always delighted and interested in my box. For June, the theme was Desert Island – something quite tropical and hot which reflects the time of year really. This month’s box had quite a few really large bath bombs, many of which were quite colorful as well. I love the size and smell of these – and the descriptions were on point on the included card! Along with the five inside the box, I also seem to have gotten two mystery bombs added to my box. As always, these bombs are made in Yorkshire, different each month, and always really lovely!
Pirate Hat & Wilson the Volleyball
The first bomb that really caught my eye was the pirate hat, which has activated charcoal in it. Activated charcoal is a really good ingredient, that can be used to really help your skin. Activated charcoal is known for helping blemishes and spots, as well as removing dead skin. I don’t use a whole lot of activated charcoal myself, but am always excited to try things that I have heard so much good about. The bomb itself is scented with pineapple and mango, which gives it a real, tropical, fruity vibe that feels like a pirate drinking on a beach! Wilson the Volleyball is a pretty fun looking bomb, featuring a white volleyball with a shinnery red face painted into it, adding a bit of sparkle to your bath. This bomb is coconut and bergamot, with hints of vanilla – and I like the nod to the movie!
Barrel & Bruce the Shark
The barrel bath bomb is quite colorful – and I am glad they used colors for this barrel as it make it look so cute. This bath bomb is huge, and scented with citrus and herb notes, creating something that smells quite pleasant but not overly sweet. This scent is the same as the portofino coast wax melt, allowing you to get a wax melt version to scent your home if you love the bomb! Bruce the Shark is a shark head bath bomb – and I love that this bomb is named Bruce. It’s a really cute touch to have his name on the card! This bomb is scented with watermelon and pink apple. It’s fruity and fun!
Nelson the Octopus
Another named animal, Nelson the Octopus was my favorite bomb of this box! It’s got a simple scent – orange – but is so big, cute, and fun! This octopus is yellow, white and purple, with all of his arms around it – it’s just so cute. I really think this is my favorite design thus far – with his little painted face. It took far too long to actually use this bomb, as I loved seeing it sit in our bath bomb jar!
Slow Day & Bubble Gum Ice Cream
As for our bonus bombs, we got a snail with the scent slow day, which is pretty fitting considering the snail! This scent is orange, citrus and a bit sweet – I liked the design and the swirl on the shell. The Bubble Gum Ice-Cream bomb looks so cute, with a purple swirl and blue tops. It’s a sweet, bubble-gum, candy smelling bomb that the kids really love the smell and look of, which is always a plus.
The designs of those bath bombs are too cute! They’d make great gift items.
