[Ad- gifted product] If you follow Dann or I on Instagram or Twitter, you will know we basically live in the water. We go to our local swimming pool at least once a week and venture further to the ocean nearby often, taking loads of trips. We have basically got going to the swimming pool or beach down to a science – complete with different fun toys for the children, changes of clothing, and towel robes to keep people dry. However, one thing we did struggle with until recently was backpacks that held all of our wet and often sandy water supplies on the way back.
The Rooster’s Roll Top Welded Dry Bag from Rooster seems to actually be the answer. A large bag that is perfect for the gym or for beach runs, you can actually fit a lot into this. The bag almost sits like a laundry hamper – allowing you to throw clothing or items into it, and then stacking them up. The top has two rigid bit of plastic, which allow it to sort of snap shut, flat, and then you can bend them and clip them at the top. You can roll down the rigid top to make the bag smaller, before clipping it together, if you aren’t carry as much as the bag can fit. There are a few hook-like areas on the bag, which you can snap straps into, to then carry the bag on your back.
The Roll Top Welded Dry Bag does a great job of keeping dry – the bag itself is made of 500d PVC, which feels almost like plastic. This means that your bag won’t retain water or smells. You can fill it full of wet, sticky, swimsuits and the bag itself won’t stink. Previously, we had used backpacks, but when the scent of damp stuck around, we opted for Tesco’s bags, which was never that great of an option. With this bag, there really is enough room for everything we need, and no smell or worry of dampness as water doesn’t soak into the material.
What’s even better is that there aren’t little gaps or pockets for sand to make their way into, which means we can dump everything into the bag, then easily shake it out when we are home without fear of more and more stand building up and destroying things like snaps or zippers. It’s a very simple bag to wear and carry around too, and feels quite nice when you are walking, despite the big bands and not-so-average way of closing at the top. We ended up taking our Rooster’s Roll Top Welded Dry Bag on holiday with us, to see how it with stand the beach and long hall around it, and it ended up being very useful as a large laundry bag, carrying our stinky, dirty clothing and allowing us to stay organised, as well as keeping our swimming stuff ready for the beach before that.
I agree! Perfect and sporty I think it is also waterproof right? In short, ideal for the summer!
It is completely waterproof!
This sounds like a great bag. It seems to be a good size too, perfect for a range of things from using at the gym to the beach.
It is such a good size!
Oh wow, what a perfect bag for the beach! We have something similar that the swim school gave us when my boys did lessons. It’s so nice to have somewhere to put all the wet clothes.
It is so useful!
Wet clothes are always an issue when we go to the pool or beach. I’ll have to check this out.
They were for us too! Especially when our backpack started to get musty smelling.
This is brilliant! As much time as I spend both at the beach and the pool, it would be such a great addition!
It’s really a helpful bag!
oh this sounds like such a great bag!! I love a good water proof bag. I deff need a new one
I had not had a water proof bag before, but it’s a game changer!
What a great bag for traveling…durability is a must!
It is such an amazing bag!
This bag seems like a must have. It makes it so much easier to carry a lot of things at once without worrying about getting other items wet.
It is so very useful!
