How to make a Minecraft Ghast Pinata | DIY

[Ad- gifted product] The year is 2020, I have worked from home for my entire adult life. Working from home means I don’t tend to just nip to the shop on the way home from work, which has shaped my shopping habits. I tend to order items online as well as receive a fair bit of press packages through the post. When it comes to getting packages, I try to recycle as much as I can – putting things within the recycle bin often, but bits of packaging that I can re-purpose or add to the craft box gets put there, in hopes of having another life. Reusing packing is important to me, but so is reducing the amount of packing within these packages to begin with. There are plenty of different places to get plastic free packaging from, which is something I feel both consumers and businesses should switch too, as it is a shame to have to throw away so much harmful plastic which only had one use when it is simply not needed. That’s why I tend to make so many things out of random bits of cardboard or boxes lying around.

Calm Coffee CBD-Infused – Cold Brew | Review

[Ad- gifted product] We both have been getting more and more into coffee, having now purchased a little single coffee brewer and started making more coffee at home to drink. I really enjoy cold brew – I’m not a huge fan of drinking hot liquids as it makes me warm quite quickly and I much rather be of a colder temperature. When Calm Coffee reached out to offer some of their CBD-infused coffee, I figured why not. I’ve previously looked at some CBD-infused dark chocolate treats, so coffee would be fun!

Dann and I got two cans of each of their cold brew drinks; an Americano and a Caffe Latte which contained oat milk – the best kind of lactose free milk. Along with it, we got a bag of ground coffee to brew. One morning, we decided to try out these cans of drinks. Both of them had been stored in the fridge and were a good size, slightly smaller than an energy drink. The idea behind adding CBD-oil into coffee is to bring down the jittery feeling that comes with drinking too much coffee or drinking coffee too quickly, which does make a lot of sense.

Nanny’s Scottcheroos | Recipe

My Nanny will be mentioned often when it comes to cooking, as she was who got me into cooking. She use to make these Scottcheroos in the summer time, as a no-bake treat for us children to eat by the pool. We rarely had rice crispy treats, as instead these were served. I really loved her version of Scotteroos, but I would suggest being patient with it, as the recipe does take some time when it comes to spreading out the bars – this is something I found particularly challenging, but over time have gotten more and more okay at it.

Top 5 Best British Mince Pies

[Ad- gifted product] In America, we do not have mince pies. The first year I came to England, I really didn’t understand what these were. People spoke about mince meat, so I assumed it was a weird sweet meat pie that English people eat. It turns out, it’s really not, and instead is a fruit, sugar, and sometimes alcohol filled pie with a buttery crust, made and eaten around the winter holidays. Mince pies are really an interesting take on Christmas Cookies, which we are big on in America. There are also many, many different types of mince pies, so Dann and I took the time to rank our favorites.

Neither of us are fans of dry crusts, instead in the mindset that the crust of a pie should deliver the filling to us, without hampering the flavor or trying to be something that stands on it’s own. Our favorite pies are more filling focused, with the crust taking a back step.

A Day at Schokoladen Museum Lindt (Chocolate Museum)

I have been in Cologne, Germany for a week, for a gaming event that I am attending for work. Normally, these events take a lot out of me. Even this year, Gamescom has taken a lot out of me, however, I went with my brother. Going to Gamescom with my brother meant shorter days at the venue, as his feet hurt and I didn’t want to overwork him. In a lot of ways, this was amazing for me, even if my legs are still sore and my feet hurt after medium sized days walking across a maze of a show floor. Going with my brother also meant site seeing, like going to the Lindt Chocolate Museum with him and Dann.

Inside the Chocolate Museum

The Chocolate Museum is what you’d expect – a huge museum and factory of chocolate goods that are produced by Lindt. When entering the Chocolate Museum, you are shown a lot of information on the process of creating chocolate from cocoa beans. Countries that export these goods, how they are harvested and information about the plants themselves are dotted around, to give you a better understanding of chocolate. There are a few interactive screens and devices dotted around – one that you can roll a wheel to watch a cocoa tree grow, another where you must push on a metal hand in hopes of understanding how hard they compact the chocolate.

Once you are done with those, you can walk out into a small garden, which contains a cocoa tree and various other plants. This room is very warm! There is an option to go to an area above the garden, if you are on the next floor. As you continue around, you’ll find metal chocolate molds everywhere you look. There really is a lot to see in the Chocolate Museum as chocolate has been around for ages and made into many shapes.
