Starbucks 30th Birthday Frappuccino Taste Test

[Ad- gifted product] Starbucks has turned 30 this week and to celebrate their birthday, they have released a Birthday Frappuccino which can come in a free, funky, reusable cup if you get there quick. Bringing back this cup in the future will also give you 25p off your next drink, so it’s a win-win if you go to Starbucks often.

We headed over to our local Starbucks in our town to grab one of the Starbucks 30th Birthday Frappuccinos, which are vanilla and hazelnut flavour, with a creme frappuccino base, whipped cream and birthday themed sprinkles. I do not think I have ever got a hazelnut drink from Starbucks, normally going with a refresher, so was excited. It’s simple enough to switch out the milk to be soy or oat, which is my go-to due to being lactose intolerant.

The drink itself was made in the re-usable cup, which is free with the purchase of the drink. This cup is quite durable, easy to wash, and the straw is re-usable as well. Myself, Amelia and Robin all very much liked the cup design – it’s got a cassette, skateboard, and lots of little funky drawings on it, as well as the phrase “Frappuccino Blended Beverage since 1995” written on the back, really showing off that it’s their birthday cup.

When it came to the flavour of the drink, Amelia wasn’t so into hazelnut! It’s just not her thing, we think. Dann and I both thought it was a good drink, and Dann guessed it was Birthday Cake flavoured without actually knowing about the promotion. Robin did find the Starbucks 30th Birthday Frappuccino to be her absolute favourite drink she has ever had there, and asked to have one of her own, which she finished in record time! It’s nice to find a drink she likes, as she is often quite picky when it comes to drinks out. I do think these sorts of promotions are so much fun to try. You have until July 17th to try out yours, and the limited cups are free while supplies last.
