Christmas Cat-Astrophe Escape Room at KnownEscape

In the colder months, when there isn’t much sunshine, we tend to book up an escape room or two! This time, we went to KnownEscape in Bishop’s Stotford for their Christmas Cat-Astrophe Escape Room, which is a Christmas version of their Crazy Cat Lady escape room that they run during the year. This Christmas theme is shown through the decorations in the room and through the slight change in puzzles, though we haven’t been to their original version of the game, we are pretty sure it would be very similar.

Snow White at South Mill Arts Centre

[Ad- gifted experience] As you may have guessed, it’s Panto season in England, and we have gone to a number of pantos this year! Last year, we saw a performance of Snow White at Fairfield Halls Theatre and previously we have been to the South Mill Arts Centre to see a One Many play, so we were really excited to get along for another Christmas classic. This panto actually leaned heavily on the musical side of things, which was a neat twist on the performance.

Eating at Mi Barrio Hitchin in The George Pub

Dann and I love adventures and fun, one-off events, so when we saw The George Pub in Hitchin was running a Street Art festival for one day, we wanted to see exactly what that meant! This festival ran from midday until dinnertime, so we stopped by in the middle of the time, to see how everything was set up and to try some of the food served by Mi Barrio Hitchin in The George Pub. This is a bit of an interesting one; Mi Barrio Hitchin basically rents the pub’s kitchen, creating their own South American Tapas that can be purchased and eaten within the pub. Let’s get into the food.

Live Music at Hitchin Priory Summer Sessions

Dann and I have been going to more and more music festivals and food festivals that feature music in the last few years. One band that I have always wanted to see live is The Wombats, which are my current favorite. Dann is a big fan of Razorlight, so when the Hitchin Priory Summer Sessions listed a day with both Razorlight and The Wombats, there was no way we weren’t going to go. This three day long festival had different bands each day, but we went on the Saturday, which had the bands we were interested in. Dann and I invited our two friends, as a sort of double date, and headed off for the afternoon.

Jumping at Inflata City

Ever since Jump Giants have closed, Robin has been hoping for a new place that just vibes like that. One of the other parents ate school messaged me about Inflata City, which she had a fantastic time at, so we were excited to head there as well and see what it was like. Inflata City is a huge inflation place, with a lot of different areas to explore around. Kai and Amelia can with Dann, Robin and I, though Robin is at the end of the age group for this type of place. Kai and Amelia are into exploring, so we did have a lot of fun!
