[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to magazines, the girls are quite interested in the colorful, vibrant covers of what is currently in our local Tesco. That’s where GirlTalk is also stocked – in both a single magazine and a bundle of two with extra gifts. These magazines do come with lots of little toys – something that seems to draw children in, but what about the contents within the magazine? Well, we got our hands on another issue of GirlTalk and have excitedly dived into the magazine.
But first, let’s talk about the gifts. The major item within this magazine were the magical nails – which are stick on nails that don’t require any sort of glue or anything. These nails just stick right on top of yours. Amelia put these on her fingers and proceeded to tap her nails over and over again on every surface ever. As you would imagine, they aren’t perfect (as nails are all different shapes) but they do the job for kids! There were lots of different pages in this magazine about sleepovers, and these nails were perfect for them. Along with the nails, there is a rainbow, unicorn, poop bag tag – which Robin very happily put onto her bag, and two pencils from the Roblox Game My Cat Box, with cube cat erasers. These erasers were super adorable!
Inside the magazine, there is plenty to do! Many of the pages have adorable pictures to look at, stories from celebrates, a drama corner that tells about embarrassing moments in people’s lives. Amelia spent some time reading through it and got very excited at the different activities within the magazine as well. She really enjoyed the various word searches – some video game themed and some themed around animal facts, which she and Robin found to be interesting. There was an entire Among Us puzzle, and a counting puzzle around Pokemon that was perfect for Robin. Another big highlight in the magazine was lists of stuff they might want to purchase – from a list of cute items for a sleepover to some cute items that might be great for back to school – they both loved picking out the items they hope to receive at some point.
The articles on tips for sleepovers and for having friends around were ones that Amelia read and took to heart, so that she could throw the best sleepover ever, she said, which was pretty adorable. There was enough in this magazine to keep her busy for well over an hour, and that was before grabbing colored pens to color in a pop-it unicorn page and to design her own bracelets within another coloring page! It’s just a fun packed magazine with lots of bright colors, perfect for kids Amelia’s age.
Oh gosh, this brings back memories. I remember reading magazines similar to this when I was a kid!
It is such a cute and colorful magazine. 🙂
