Takumi Ramen Kitchen – Ramen Delight

When meeting up with a few friends in Milan, our friend Husky said “do you want to try the best Ramen of your life?” and, curious, Dann and I headed there. Sadly, they were heading off to the airport, but we were excited to try out what could be the best ramen ever. When we arrived at Takumi Ramen Kitchen, the atmosphere was fantastic. The internal decorations were cute, the waitress was nice, and we were excited to take on some lovely food.

Kimchi, Karaage Chicken & Takoyaki

Quite hungry and very excited by Takumi Ramen Kitchen, we started ordering. I got an order of kimchi, which wasn’t too spicy. It was almost wet and jammy, with a very deep flavor. This portion was also a great size, which Dann and I both shared. We then got the Karaage Chicken, which was crispy and covered in delicious sauces. The meat was well cooked, still juicy, and quite delicious. Dann got his favorite, Takoyaki, which looked like they came out of a magazine. The sauce coverage was perfect and he ate them up, saying they were really quite good. We were pumped at this point for our ramen.

Spicy Cha Shu Miso Ramen & Tan Tan Kara-Age Wantan Ramen

got the Spicy Cha Shu Miso Ramen, which has a spicy miso base. There were plenty of noodles, egg, crispy onions, spring onions, bok choy, cabbage and of course sliced pork. The flavor of the broth was spicy but not too spicy. I really enjoyed the cook on the pork as well. The egg was jammy – it was a fantastic ramen. Dann got the Tan Tan Kara-Age Wantan Ramen, which had noodles, spring onion, peanut, bok choy, egg, wanton wrappers and karaage chicken. The chicken was crispy and delicious, the base was a little spicy, but otherwise very good. Dann enjoyed it all and said the egg was cooked perfectly. Was it the best ramen in the world? Not sure if it was for us, but it was a pretty fantastic ramen!

I also got an ice tea, which was nice, and the general feel of the place was fun. There were great decorations and signs throughout, the staff was pleasant, and the food was extremely reasonable in price. I would 100 percent go back and if my friends liked ramen and had not been, I’d tell them about it!
