[Ad- gifted product] It’s a fact that we love face masks. We’ve written about our favourite masks recently as well, but wanted to branch out and find more fantastic masks to review and possibly update the list of our favourites a bit more. I found that I prefer clay or similar masks to sheet masks – and they seem to really last longer as well as feel better on my face. As Dann hadn’t done very many (at all) face masks before, he’s been really enjoying cleaning up his skin and having little pampering sessions. Our newest face mask from Upcircle actually has a pretty interesting concept behind it.
You see, Upcircle looks to recycle discarded food waste in a way that it can be used for beauty purposes. Starting with products that used discarded coffee grounds, Upcircle has been able to branch out into fruit stones and chai tea spices! These discarded items have lots of vitamins and value, but they aren’t eaten, so they are often thrown away. Using them for beauty products is a brilliant idea! The face mask from Upcircle is actually made with olive pits – but isn’t grainy in any way nor do they smell of pickled olives!
The mask smells almost like it is going to tingly on your skin, but once you get it out of the jar and spread across your face, it feels very cooling and smells wonderful. This mask doesn’t harden, but does soak into your skin – almost like moisturiser, turning the same color as your skin. After just 10 minutes, you are able to wash the mask off your face, which left our skin super soft and lovely. The mask makes your pores smaller, so that they don’t end up clogged with junk, and feels super nice, even days after putting on the mask. I have a lot of small black heads always on my nose, which cleared up quite a bit after this mask and haven’t come back as much due to the smaller pores. It’s a great product!
The Upcircle face mask is also vegan and cruelty free to boot, perfect for all skin types and good for the world itself. The packaging for the mask is plastic free, featuring a glass jar, aluminium lid and cardboard box. This brand has a mission and it sticks too it, while having wonderful products that match what they are meant to do. We really enjoyed this mask and will be continuing to use it in our pampering routine.
You can find their face mask and other products on Upcircle’s website.
Great review! This sounds like a great product to try. So glad that this face mask is also sold in the US 🙂
Yay! I hope you enjoy it.
