[Ad- gifted product] We have been a fan of Wright’s Baking since this Orange Cake Mix. It was one of the first things we picked up at our local Tesco. Orange is something Kai absolutely loves and having some sort of new muffins for breakfast is always on our list of things to do. We tend to do a lot of muffins with this mix, but Amelia choose to mix it up and make an Orange Cake Loaf to have with breakfast.
The thing about Wright’s Baking Orange Cake Mix – and all of their mixes – is that you just need to add a few ingredients and then bake them. It’s very easy to hand the little packet of mix to tweens and teens, who can follow the instructions on their own and bake on their own. Amelia measured and added in the water along with the vegetable oil and then mixed it all up. This cake mix actually has a bunch of pieces of candy orange as well, which is really fantastic when it comes to the texture of the cake. Every time we bake a cake with Wrights, they do come out really moist as well, which is a plus!
Amelia very easily whipped up the cake and put them in a loaf pan. We then baked it in the oven for around half an hour, at the recommended cupcake temperature. You could put this mix in a bread maker, to make the loaf more bread-like in texture, but we enjoy the moist texture of the cake instead. Once the cake cooled, we mixed some powdered sugar with a bit of oat drink and drizzled it on top, right before eating it for breakfast!
Everyone really enjoys Wright’s Baking Orange Cake Mix, as we all love the taste of the loaf or muffins. There is so much more you can do for this mix as well; you can hold some and sprinkle it on top of the muffins before you bake them to have a textured top, add in candy orange slices so that they make a fancy cake or make it into bread as previously mentioned. All of these ideas and more are always listed on the back of the packet giving you lots of inspiration! Wright’s baking products are not only easy to use but quite fun to customize.
Oh, gosh that looks so good! It sounds like it’s an excellent mix. I’d try it.
We will have to give this cake mix a try. I love anything orange flavoured too. And it is great that it only takes a few extra ingredients and easy enough for the kids to do by themselves.
This looks and sounds absolutely delicious!! I’ve always been a fan of lemon cake, so I feel like I would love this orange cake mix. Great… now I’m craving some!!
Whoa this looks so delicious; lemon cake is one of my favorite cakes and I have yet to make one, nor an orange cake. I need to try this recipe out.
Oh it came out lovely! What a perfect little loaf and I bet it was delicious. I’ve heard of Wrights before but I do not think it’s available here in the states. I think they have some lovely mixes though 🙂
