[Ad- gifted product] Drinking water always feels like a touchy subject. Everyone feels you should drink more water, but it’s easier said then done. When it comes to our kids, they like water! Which is fantastic, but me and Dann, not so much. The water in our area is classified as Hard water and according to the ZeroWater chart and detected, we are in the orange area of water effected by salts, metals, pesticides, and other contaminants, which is surely not the best way to drink water.
The ZeroWater Ready Jug has a five stage filter within it’s jug, that is meant to be more powerful and effected then other water filters out there. The first stage removes fine partials and sediment, where as the second removes suspended solids like dust. The third layer removes organic contaminates and stops bacteria growth. The forth layer, which is the biggest, removes inorganic compounds like metals and the final stage removes ultra fine particles. Using the pen-like monitor, we saw that the filtered water was at a rating of Zero, when before it was over 300. So clearly this filter is working.
Putting the filter in the jug is very easy – remove the cap and screw it in. You do need to make sure that it is screwed in tightly, otherwise water will leak out unfiltered. The filter is meant to work for 30 to 55 liters of filtration at the quality of our water, but if your water is more or less extreme, it can effect how long your filter will last. Your reader actually goes into the jug, reading the water before it comes out of the spout, so if you see that your water is being filtered and still has a reading above zero, it’s time to change out your filter! It does take a medium amount of time to filter all of the water for the Zero Water Ready Jug, which is worth keeping in mind.
The water itself from the ZeroWater Ready Jug does taste different than water from our tap. It’s like a completely different taste, which I found really interesting. Surely, water just tastes like… water! Clearly I have been drinking water that was not perfectly filtered for quite some time, and this really opened my eyes on what I have been drinking and how long I have been drinking that. If you are looking for the perfect, ideal water, the ZeroWater Ready Jug holds roughly 12 cups of water and is filtering well enough for your water to hit zero!
oh wow, this is a must-have for sure!!! I am not sure the water we drink is 100% clean…I will get the jug right away, thank you so much…
I need one of those for my fridge. I drink a lot of bottled water. Thanks for sharing.
It’s great to hear that your kids enjoy drinking water! 💧 But I totally get what you mean about the challenges of water quality in some areas. Dealing with hard water and contaminants can be a concern for many families. It might be worth considering a water filtration system to improve the taste and quality of your drinking water. Your health and well-being are worth the investment!
This sounds like a great tool to have in the kitchen! I need to get one for our fridge, love that it adds extra protection by giving the water an extra filter.
Oh wow, No more drinking from tap in our home. I will definitely have this one too.
I do think having something like this is a great way to encourage the family to drink water. We’re lucky to have filtered water plumbed through our fridge and it makes a big difference x
Your review of the ZeroWater Ready Jug is quite informative. You’ve provided a clear explanation of its filtration process and the impact it had on the taste of your water. This practical insight can help others make informed decisions about water filters. Keep up the good work! 💧🚰
This sounds really useful, interesting that you thought the water tasted differently afterwards!
