Flying high fun with ZipLinx

ZipLinx

[Ad- gifted product] When it comes to tweens and teens, they aren’t always the easiest to impress with toys. Kai is at the age where he doesn’t engage much with any sort of physical toy and prefers his computer. When I was his age, I was really into dominoes and ZipLinx reminds me of a more intense version of dominoes! ZipLinx are a bunch of clips that you slot together, then use a launcher to cause them to fly up into the air, exploding everywhere.

Kai was really interested in the ZipLinx, mainly because of the way they explode, flying high into the air. I feel like sometimes when it comes to tweens, creating a bunch of chaos is exactly what they want to do. There are a few different ZipLinx sets, which all have the same base items; the clips that go together and a launcher. Most also have balls that you can place on the clips, that fly even higher in the air than the clips, causing even more chaos.

Some of the kids have additional features like big hammers that you can use to hit the launcher – so you can time up a few launches at once or so that you can just “feel like a giant” as Kai stated, dropping his giant hammer-like contraption onto the launcher, and watching everything fly into the air. Kai found this to be the most fun way to actually play, though it did take him some time and measuring to be able to use this hammer in a way that it would work on the first hammer down!

ZipLinx really does put on a show. You can design different patterns with the clips, and then watch them fly up into the air once they are set off. Unlike dominoes, these don’t actually go off by mistake, and you won’t be placing them too far apart to complete their path, as they clip into each other. It’s a really clever idea, and one that kept Kai busy for quite some time, as he continued to create little paths and blast them into the air!

I haven’t heard of these before. They sound like they’d be really good fun especially as they can be made to fly around. Mine seem to like crazy toys.

Games and things like this are good when there’s not just one way to use or play with it. So kids are less likely to get bored x
