[Ad- gifted product] We are big fans of new toys in our household, especially Robin! The ZipString is the latest in new types of toys, and is one that for me, it’s a little hard to explain. At face value, this looks like a bit of string and a plastic handle, but it’s actually a fantastic, very fun toy that sort of looks like a magic trick or like something that is defining gravity. These little strings go inside the plastic handle, which vibrates and moves the string, making them float in the air!

ZipString comes with technically 4 strings, but the first one is extremely small as a try it in box string, which shows how the whole thing works. The set of strings actually in the box have different lengths and slightly different textures, with some being easier and some being more challenging. These different strings are labelled, so you can tell what is more challenging than others, which is fantastic. The easy and medium strings are Robin’s favorites, with the hard one being slightly too long for her to get the hang of. Once you have a string in, which is just done by pulling it through the little device, then you hold the button, the string moves and vibrates, making it all come to life. There is an included USB to USB-C charging cable, so you do not need batteries for this device, which is handy.

While the string is moving in the ZipString, you can actually touch the string (which does not hurt), manipulating the shape. This is where the real fun begins because you can make all sorts of shapes and little moves, like wiggling it, to create this gravity defining shape. It’s just so much fun! The string can be used inside your house or outside, though we played with it outside initially as we weren’t sure if it would get caught on items or interest our cats a little too much, but it turns out it worked perfectly fine inside. The ZipString feels so completely different from other toys we’ve had, something new and cool, which we love having in our house.

I haven’t seen one like this before. It looks fun to play with and to try and create shapes etc. It is great that there are easier and harder strings that they can practice with.
I saw this advertised somewhere else recently and thought it looked great fun. Now I have read your review I can see how much fun it is
Ohh how fun! I didn’t realise what this was at first, but I’ve seen them before! My two would love something like this. They’d think it’s so cool. What a fab gift.

That looks like so much fun! I love the color and movement. This is perfect for active play.
That certainly does sound like something a bit different for kids to play with which adds to the fun!!! It’s good to hear there are different levels to play with.
I remember when I first saw the commercials for these! They look SO cool! I’m so happy to read your review and that they are a great product! I’m going to buy a few for the kids in my family.
This is a good way to help kids play outside. It’s inventive and could provide hours of fun. Especially if you’ve got a cat.
I’ve never seen a toy like this before. My nephews would enjoy this, as it offers creative play and opportunity to make fun shapes.
