Hylands Fear Fest Extreme swaps ‘spooky’ for scares

When we recently visited Hylands Estate for their Fear Fest Spooky Trail we all had a great time. However, as the older two kids – Kai and Amelia – are both getting along into teen-hood they both said that they’d be interested in attending the 15+ Fear Fest Extreme event that takes place along the same trail but during the evening spot. As such, a few days later we found ourselves back there, myself, Kai and Amelia, for the spooky walk. Jupiter opted to skip this one, as she is not the biggest fan of fears and is very easily jumpscared.

Why Mediation can be useful in Divorce

[Ad/Collab] When I was growing up, divorce was not common at all. An uncle of mine had divorced, but that was it for my entire, extensive, expanded family. As I grew up through the 90s and 00s, I came across more people who were divorcing, but there wasn’t much open information or conversations over what to do if you did divorce. Divorce, when it was my turn, was more of a scary, alone thing. A breakdown of a relationship, growing to the point where I no longer knew who I was married too, an ending of a very long and what I thought was forever, chapter of my life.

An Explore at Markshall Estate Enlightened Light Trail

[Ad- gifted experience] Being December it’s the season for lots of things, but one thing that we always try to get along to during these colder Winter nights is light trails. Over the last few years we’ve visited loads and loads around the UK (and beyond) and that’s included a couple from events organiser Enlightened Moments. When we found out they were running another one, and not too far from us, we had to go, and so off we went to their newest installation at Markshall Estate, near Coggeshall in Essex.

Contact Coffee Co’s Shots Fired! Makes a Mean Espresso

[Ad- gifted products] I don’t know about you, but I don’t often sit down and think about the military. I guess this means, for the most part, that they’re doing their job just fine. I don’t really have a segue to link that to the coffee, beyond the fact that a couple of British chaps in the armed forces decided to dedicate time and effort into levelling up the sub-par instant coffee that they were getting while out there on operations. The result is Contact Coffee Co, who have sent us along a pouch of Shots Fired, a smooth, medium-roast coffee.

Best Non-Chocolate Advent Calendars for 2024

[Ad- gifted products – Updated on November 9th, 2024 with this years Advent Calenders] If you’re like us, you’re not the biggest fan of chocolates. We don’t really need one every single day of December, and would very much rather have any other candy or even small items as my surprise. In America, we don’t really do advent calendars, so Jupiter didn’t really think there was a huge variety when she came to England – but it turns out there is! We have picked out our advent calendars for this year, after a bunch of research, and will be telling you about them as well as a few bonus ones that we though were so cool!
