Garlic, Chili & Herb Focaccia (Book of Bread) | Recipe

Still going with One Recipe a Week project, we have been diving into different cookbooks. For Jupiter’s birthday, fellow blogger Claire bought her the National Trust Book of Bread by Jane Eastoe. This cookbook is all about the art of making bread, complete with beautiful, had drawn and watercolour images of the various breads that you can make. The first few chapters explain differences between raising agents, flours, techniques, tools, terms used when baking bread and more before throwing you into baking. Once you have a bit of an understanding of how to make bread, the book itself is split into different sections; Quick Breads, Basic Breads, Fancy Breads, Regional Breads and then Breads from Around the World.

Fitz’s Sandwich (Binging with Babish) | Recipe

Another edition of One Recipe a Week is here, this time, with a cookbook that tiles into movies and TV shows. Binging with Babish is a Youtube channel that we actually watch weekly, enjoying all of the food that Andrew Rea creates each week. The theme of Binging with Babish is taking recipes and foods from TV shows or movies and recreating them to the best of his ability, before making a more edible version is some cases. The cookbook by the same name showcases the shows first 100 recipes, all put together in a beautiful book full of amazing photos, small verdicts, and easy to follow recipes.

Pho Battersea – Restaurant | Review

We saw that the Battersea location of Pho was having a refurbishment launch, offering 50% off all of it’s menu items for one weekend only and we had to go check it out. The venue was packed, with a full bar and all the seats were full. We didn’t have to wait too long for a table to free up though! The venue itself is quite nice, though it’s a bit dark when it comes to lighting, apart from spotlights that literally shine on a single person in one of the seats, which feels odd.

How to Make a Great Charcuterie Boards

[Ad- gifted product] We eat a lot of charcuterie boards. Often, in the evenings, after the sun has set, we’ll have a glass of something nice and create a little charcuterie board to eat while watching a movie or hanging out on the couch. Charcuterie boards are big boards of meat, cheese, olives and more, which can be eaten as a snack or light meal, depending on what you stack on top of yours. These boards can be as simple as throwing some cheese and nibbles onto a board or as fancy as adding a bunch of different categories of foods, pates, crackers, etc to really load up your board. We are going to talk about creating an epic board, one that would be an eye catcher at gathering or super enjoyable if you want to feel fancy and enjoy a snack.

The Botanist – Unique Cocktails | Review

[Ad- gifted experience] While in Reading, we ended up at the bar of The Botanist, through a slight mix up. Normally, a mix up is never the best situation, but as it happens, The Botanist is a wonderful venue with very unique and tasty drinks, which we were very excited to try. After our Day Out in London Bridge, finding ourselves with a couple of rounds of interesting drinks to taste sounded like a surprisingly great way to end our day.

We took the time to try a handful of the most unique and interesting cocktails on the menu and Dann tried a beer type he had not had before. These cocktails not only tasted delicious but also came in a variety of strange and intriguing glasses! We drank our drinks in rounds, so see the captions of pictures to know what drink goes with what name.
