[Ad- gifted product] Another board game for our by-weekly tabletop night as a family, this time with a favorite theme; drawing. Though Ghosts Can’t Draw is marketed as for Halloween, our family really love board games about drawing like Ten Second Scribble or Scribble Shake Down, so our girls were very excited about Ghosts Can’t Draw. This game is sort of inspired by an Ouija board, but where one of you are the ghosts!

Amelia and I go to a cupcake decorating class every month, as a bit of mother-daughter time, and this month Sweet Designs by Jennie had a special Valentine’s Day class, the day before Valentine’s Day, so you can make a half dozen cupcakes to share with your loved one. This class, unlike a lot of the others by Sweet Designs by Jennie, only comes around once a year, so we were both pretty excited as we hadn’t made these before.

While in Bilbao, Spain, one of the big struggles for the group of friends I was hanging out with was vegan options. There just isn’t a lot of places that have lots of nice vegan dishes that are ready to eat! Margarito Grill Market, however, has more vegan options then it has meat options, which was quite a fantastic discovery. The main menu worked in a way where you selected a main meal, sauce, then two sides, which could create some interesting combinations! There were also burger options or salads if you preferred that. All of the food at Margarito Grill Market felt very fresh, clean and healthy.

Dann and I had previously stayed in the Knight’s village of Warwick Castle last year and said that we’d take the kids there at some point. When they had their Christmas Light Trail, as we were trying to hit every light trail possible, so we decided to spend the afternoon at the castle. During the time we went, they did have Christmas at the Castle going on, as Warwick Castle always has a bunch of different events. This event included a large Christmas market and some ice skating outside.
[Ad- gifted products] We always do packed lunches, unless the school is doing a special meal. Our children don’t prefer the food schools make, so it’s just easier and ensures that they are getting food that they enjoy. With that in mind, I find that packing bento-styled lunch boxes is so much easier and takes a lot of thinking out of it. Looking at the box, you can see all of the compartments and figure out exactly what to put into them. Amelia was excited to try the b.box Mini Lunchbox, which isn’t really mini, but is smaller than their jumbo, along with the b,box Snack Box for her breaks. After a few weeks of using these boxes, here are the lunches she enjoyed:
We aren’t a big sandwich or bread household, so one of the things we like making are bacon, chicken and avocado skewers. These are so easy to make; bake up some chicken (which I often do the night before) and cube it. Cook off some bacon and cut some avocado. We then add all of those to a stick, to create a sort of one-bite sandwich. Amelia had this with some homemade potato salad as a side. She had tomatoes and cucumbers as her vegetables, and grapes and blueberries as her fruit. We used the little divider for the b.box Mini Lunchbox, which gave enough room for some vegetables. In her b.box snack box, it fit an entire single serving bag of pop chips (BBQ Flavour), along with Oreos for her and her friends. I tossed in a few Sour Patch Kids and her vitamin as well. Inside her bag, I packed her a Raspberry Jelly Squeeze for one of her breaks.
